2023: My Performances As Governor Will Give Me Victory, Oshiomhole Boasts

A former governor Edo Stat, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has said that his performance as governor of the state, would give him victory in the forthcoming senatorial election in 2023.
The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated this at the weekend while speaking with journalists shortly after winning the ticket for the Edo North senatorial district on the platform of APC.
Oshiomhole polled 309 votes out of the 317 accredited to clinch the senatorial ticket.
He said his participation in the election was to prove a point that one doesn’t need to be consumed with bitterness if one encounters any upset in life.
He said, “The people of Edo North, beyond the membership of the APC and even members of the PDP who had benefited from my stewardship as governor of Edo state, would give me their votes.”
According to him, people should ask any aspirant who pledges to represent them, what he has done in his previous capacity for the people.
Oshiomhole said, “So, I think the people of Edo North and in every ward of the state would have no had difficulties in identifying my contribution to the development of the wards in each senatorial district of the state.
“My participation in this election was to prove a point that people should not be consumed by bitterness if they had a setback. Life is up and down and has valleys and hills, but rugged men are the ones who can navigate the hills and valleys to get to their destinations.”

He slammed Fubara for claiming the construction of Ahoada-Omoku and Emohua-Kalabari Road, which he said he had made 70 percent payment before handing over, describing the governor as “a bad child”.
“When I decided to dualise this Ahoada road, people thought it was impossible. But by the grace of God, today, Ahoada East, Ahoada Town, is coming back to be the city it is supposed to be. When I was a narcissist, I finished phase one of this dualisation.

“Then I flagged off phase two, which would end up in Omoku. The job was given the same day as the one of Emohua to the Kalabari area.
“I gave it to Julius Berger and we signed an agreement for Julius Berger to collect N4 billion every month from our IGR. The total amount of that road, and the one from Emohua to the Kalabari area, was about N80 something billion. So I said, if they collect four billion every month, that would give them 48 billion. That in two years time, they would have completed,” Wike said.
