Dele Momodu, presidential aspirant for the 2023 election has said he would defeat the All Progressives Congress, APC during the election.
Momodu said this on Thursday while featuring on Channels TV.
DAILY POST earlier reported that Momodu declared his intention to run for presidency in 2023.
The presidential aspirant boasted that he will defeat the APC candidate at the polls because he is a candidate that loves the youth, has no dirt on him and has spoken the truth to power despite being friends with them.
According to him, he will be one of the presidential candidates that will have support across Nigeria in 2023.
Momodu said: “There is no brand bigger than that of Dele Momodu in Nigeria. I’ll be among one of the few candidates who will have support across political parties.
“What you need to defeat the ruling party like APC; you must get a candidate with a clean record and no controversy. You must get a candidate who is youth-friendly and cosmopolitan.
“You must get a candidate who is friendly but very firm and can speak truth to power. I’ve been speaking truth to power despite the fact that most of these guys are my friends.
“You’ll hardly find such in any political party, Dele Momodu was preserved by God for that role.”
New Nigeria That Works For All, My Dream – Presidential Aspirant
Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, a presidential aspirant and convener of The New Nigeria Group (NNG) says his passionate dream is to have a Nigeria that works for the poor and the rich, the weak and the strong if given opportunity to pilot affairs of this country.
He said the Nigeria of today is not working for all categories of persons but just for some few set of persons who, according to him, do not care if others exist.
Mazi Ohuabunwa who is aspiring for the presidency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, disclosed this in Benin on Wednesday while on a consultation visit to leadership of the PDP in Edo State.
According to the erstwhile Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group(NESG) and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria(MAN), he had met with national chairman of the PDP and other Board of Trustees members of the party to make them known that he is on rescue mission, adding that God may likely use the PDP to rescue this nation from the present mess.
While re-emphasizing that God has destined him to rescue Nigeria, the presidential aspirant urged the PDP to take the 2023 presidential election serious, adding that it is only that his dream of rescuing the nation would be fulfilled.
“The PDP needs to be serious about 2023 because God is calling us as leaders to take this job seriously. The job of leading Nigeria out of economic morass, social equilibrium, etc.
“I have come to be part of the rescue mission that is so urgently and badly needed; to stop the drift in this nation. A country where people’s lives have become so short, people are killed and it is as if they are ants, flies or mosquitoes. Nobody cares about that.
“My destiny is working how to salvage our nation. God told me you have a mandate to go and birth a new Nigeria. A Nigeria that will be globally competitive; a first world country.
“God says build a nation that will work for all; a nation that will work for the North, work for the South, work for the East, work for the West, work for the poor, work for the rich, work the strong and work for the weak.
“This nation is not working for everybody, it is working for only few persons, some persons do not know other people exist in this country, they care for themselves alone,” he added.
Welcoming the aspirant to the Edo State secretariat of the PDP in Benin, state chairman of the party, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi said, “with somebody like this, I am sure the PDP will get it right, because you have what it takes to get us out of this mess that the APC led adminstration has brought us in.”
2023 Presidency: Miyetti Allah Denies Backing Tinubu To Succeed Buhari
Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has refuted reports that it endorsed ex-Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu for President.
The body said the position of individuals on who succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 should not be regarded as a general one.
MACBAN National Secretary, Baba Ngelzarma issued a rebuttal on Wednesday.
The scribe stressed that the association respects the ambition of all aspirants and was yet to pitch its tent with any of them.
“The attention of MACBAN headquarters has been drawn to stories in the media claiming that we have endorsed the presidential aspiration of Sen. Ahmed Tinubu.
“We want to make it clear that the association has not endorsed any candidate. Those who endorsed Tinubu are doing so as individuals.
“MACBAN should not in any way be dragged into the politics of endorsement at this stage,” Ngelzarma said.
On January 10, Tinubu formally informed Buhari of his desire to become the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer.
On Tuesday, the party chapter in Lagos accused opponents of making unsubstantiated claims to scuttle the APC leader’s bid.

The PDP chieftain said he received scary news from his surgeons but hopes that God would heal him.
