Afro Hip Hop Star Wants Artistes To Tackle Insecurity, Unite Nigeria With Music

Worried by the unabated level of insecurity and the call for secession from various quarters in the country, a Nigerian South Africa based hip hop artiste, Desmond Omoregbe Ogie, has called on fellow artistes to use their music to tackle Insecurity and unite the country.

He gave the call while speaking on his plan to launch his single track musical album titled “Africa” on July 23.

Ogie, whose stage name is “Mr. Five”, said the artistes have an enormous role to play in unifying the country and give a sense of hope and direction to Nigerians because many have given up on the country due to the high level of insecurity and hardship.

“Music is very powerful, we can use music to change the situations of insecurity and bad governance in Nigeria.

“They should always send messages of hope and unity in their songs because people are losing interest in the country because of insecurity and bad governance”, he said

The Edo-born artiste said the country is so blessed with both human and natural resources, lamenting that its bane is leadership.

He noted that his love for Nigeria and Africa spurred him to put up the music “Africa” and that all hands must be on the deck to make it great again.

“My humble appeal to the government and other Nigerians is that, we all have to put hands together and make Nigeria a better place because it’s all of us that will enjoy it if the place is great again.

“I want Africa to improve; I want it to compete with other continents. we have everything that can make it a great continent”, he said.

He called on the Nigerian government to provide a conductive atmosphere for the artistes to thrive by granting them free loans and wave off all the bottlenecks militating against the Nigerian artistes.

JUST IN: Nollywood Veteran Actor, Ogunjimi Is Dead

The Nigerian movie industry has again been thrown into mourning after the news of the death of another veteran Yoruba Actor Ganiyu Oyeyemi popularly known as Ogunjimi, surfaced on social media on Friday.

Ogunjimi’s death was announced by a Yoruba actor, Kunle Afod, in a post on his Instagram page.

Mourning the actor, Afod wrote, “We tried our best but God loves you more.

“May his soul rest in peace. Baba Ogunjinmi, RIP, Sun re oooo.”

At the time of writing this report, the cause of death has not yet been ascertained.

American singer, Billie Eilish has opened up on her sexuality, giving out a more graphic detail in a new interview.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Billie discussed her forthcoming song, “Lunch”, in which she shared details of being intimate with another woman. She said she began writing the song before doing anything with another girl but was able to finish it after one eye-opening encounter with a female.

The singer said: “I’ve been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just didn’t understand, until, last year, I realized I wanted my face in a vagina.

“I was never planning on talking about my sexuality ever, in a million years. It’s really frustrating to me that it came up.”

Billie now seems far more comfortable talking about sex, including the topic of masturbation. In the interview, she confessed to pleasuring herself regularly in front of a mirror, stating it helps with her self-esteem.

She added: “Partly because it’s hot, but it also makes me have such a raw, deep connection to myself and my body, and have a love for my body that I have not really ever had.

“People should be jerking it, man. I can’t stress it enough, as somebody with extreme body issues and dysmorphia that I’ve had my entire life.”

Nollywood Actor, Zulu Adigwe Is Dead

Veteran Nollywood actor, Zulu Adigwe has reportedly passed on.

Adigwe is said to have died on Tuesday evening.

His death was announced in an Instagram post by Movie producer, Stanley Nwoko.

I regret to announce the passing of a veteran actor, late Mr Zulu Adigwe.

“What caused his death is yet to be reviewed. Rest in peace good actor,” he added.

During his career, Adigwe was famous in the movies: “Living in Bondage”, “Breaking Free”, and many others.

Nollywood has lost six of its actors in 2024.

They are Sisi Quadri, Mr. Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Andy Best, Jumoke Aderounmu and Junior Pope.
