Bandits Attack Kaduna Community, Kill, Maim, Kidnap ECWA Rev’s Wife

Suspected Fulani bandits have again attacked a community in Southern Kaduna, slaughtering many including a Reverend of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Kaduna state.
Residents of Kajuru on the 23rd of March woke up to the tragedy as natives were wounded and killed including Rev Mairimi, whose wife was abducted and taken into the bush by suspected Fulani bandits last Thursday.
Many others were believed to have been abducted equally by the assailants when they left in the wee hours of Friday morning.

But search parties have been organized up to Saturday morning to fish out corpses and reunite missing families who ran into the bush for safety.
Until his death, Rev Mairimi was the Pastor of ECWA church Buda 2 Kasua Magani, District Church Council (DCC) in the Kajuru council area of Kaduna State.
Attempts to reach the Kaduna State Police Command spokesperson, Mohammed Jalige by phone as of the time of writing this report, was futile.
However, sources within the church said the wife of the slain Reverend Mairimi was abducted after the slaughter of her husband, which she witnessed.
“They attacked the community where he’s pastoring, killed him and went away with his wife and son.
“We don’t know if they razed down his Church with 200-300 members at Kajuru which is a mini town in Kaduna in Buda, a village under Kajuru Local Church Council (LCC).
“Top ECWA management of the church is still in shock as at the time of writing this report but we in Kaduna are praying that the wife is released as soon as possible.” said our source.

The Kaduna State government has also not reacted to the matter as of the time of filing this report.
This lingering brutality by bandits has rendered many villages ghost communities as most of the villagers had to escape for their own lives leaving the bandits who come in as herders during the day but transform into marauders at night.
Stringent cries by the people of southern Kaduna for help against this lingering genocide have fallen on deaf ears as the bandits have been consistent in their attack, kill and occupy policy.
