BREAKING: NAF Helicopter Crashes In Kaduna

An Air Force helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Air Force in the early hours of Monday crashed in Tami village, located in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Eyewitness said the incident occurred at approximately 5:00 am, causing significant alarm among residents.

The helicopter said to be on a routine operational flight, experienced technical difficulties that led to the crash. Fortunately, the pilot managed to execute emergency protocols effectively, ensuring his survival.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the pilot emerged from the wreckage largely unscathed.

Residents of Tami village quickly gathered at the crash site, offering assistance where possible and expressing relief that no lives were lost.

“We heard a loud noise and rushed to the scene. We were surprised and relieved to see the pilot alive,” said a local villager who witnessed the crash.

It was gathered that a team of military officers from the Nigerian Air Force swiftly arrived at the scene to secure the area and conduct an initial investigation.

They cordoned off the crash site to prevent unauthorised access and to ensure the safety of the villagers. The officers also began preliminary assessments to determine the cause of the crash, which remains unknown at this time.

As of the time of filling the report the Nigerian Air Force has not released an official statement regarding the incident, but an investigation is expected to be launched to ascertain the factors leading to the crash.

Court Dissolves Marriage On Couple’s Agreement

An Area Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, has dissolved the Islamic marriage between one Mujidat Abdullahi and Muyideen Raji based on mutual agreement.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the presiding judge, Toyin Aluko, in his ruling said that the husband sent a letter to the court, saying that he has agreed to the divorce application of his wife.

Aluko said that since the two parties have agreed to divorce, there was no need to prolong the case.

He added that marriage should not be forced on anyone.

Aluko, therefore, dissolved their marriage and awarded custody of the only child of their marriage to the wife, due to the child’s young age.

The court ordered that the woman should observe the iddah (waiting) period before she could remarry again.

It also ordered that a copy of the ruling be made available to the husband.

Raji was ordered to pay the sum of N10,000 monthly for the child’s feeding and upkeep.

He was also granted the opportunity to have unlimited access to the child, but at a reasonable time.

Earlier, the wife had told the court that she was tired of the marriage due to lack of love and care, adding that she wanted divorce.

My Ex-wife Wants To Kill Me, Man Cries To Court

A businessman, Abdulrazak Yunusa on Monday dragged his former wife, Latifat Sanusi, before a Sharia court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna State, alleging that she is threatening to kill him.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the counsel to Yunusa, Faham Ahmad, told the court that she threatened to stab him.

She sometimes threatens my client with a pestle. I am afraid she wants to kill him”, he said.

He requested an order mandating Latifat to go back to her parent’s house pending when the case was finalised.

‘I Want Him To Pay N50,000 Monthly Upkeep For Our 5 Children,’ Woman Tells Court

One Rihanat Kuranga of Egbejila Area, Ilorin, Kwara State, has filed for divorce from her husband, Shuaib AbdulRahman at the Area Court, sitting at Centre-Igboro, Ilorin, over domestic violence.

Rihanat told the court that her husband started beating her after she gave birth to their second child, saying that it has become unbearable.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Rihanat stated that, “whenever my husband decides to beat me, he will beat me and the children until we start to bleed.

“I had to pack out of his house when I gave birth to my fifth child and he still did not stop beating me and the children mercilessly.”

The woman told the court that she was no longer interested in their marriage and wanted divorce, child custody and maintenance.
