Cult Clashes: Legislator Condemns Act, Urges Warri Youths To Live In Peace


Member representing Warri Federal Constituency at House of Representatives, Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, has condemned all cultism related acts in Warri, just he cautioned youths to live in peace for progress.

Warri also known as the Oil City in recent times have witnessed unwarranted cult clashes among some groups in the city which had led to the loss of some lives

Ereyitomi who happens to Deputy Chairman on Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, while expressing worry over the termination of some vibrant youths lives in his constituency, said that cultism shouldn’t be a way of life and must be discouraged, describing it as archaic behaviour exhibited by the youths.

He urged youths to shun heinous crime minded ventures, noting that there is no absolution to it, and anyone apprehended for cult related activities will be dealt with decisively and must be made to face the full weight of the law.

Ereyitomi through his Spokesman Amb. Dr. Toyin Agbolaya and his senior legislative aide, Barr. Alex Gbiwen, commiserated with those families that lost their loved ones during the clash, just as he reiterated the commitment of Ereyitomi in sustenance of empowering youths across the entire constituency.

He charged parents to monitor their children and the kind of friends they keep in order to checkmate them and their activities with their peers.


The legislator also urged youths to occupy themselves with positive and productive goods and service for progress and prosperity in order to impact the society and their community meaningfully.
