Don’t Listen To Unpatriotic Politicians, Guru Maharaj Urges Youths

The founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has urged Nigerians, especially youths, not to listen to or join some past leaders and politicians who had failed to be patriotic and nationalistic.
Maharaj Ji, in a statement on Sunday personally signed and made available to our correspondent in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, also alleged that some former officeholders created current hardship for the masses, thereby pushing the blame on President Bola Tinubu.
The PUNCH reports that protests recently rocked some parts of the state over economic hardship.
He further urged Nigerians to dig into the effects and problems facing them as a nation, adding that “we should also find out the Federal Government’s inability to secure lives, provide food, and many other vital services.

“Please note that President Tinubu’s government is not a military one that knows how security outfits of the country have been built and run. So, it will take some time to really come to terms with it.
“But we all know in the last eight months that the president has taken some giant strides and has approved some measures which have been yielding positive results gradually.
“Don’t forget that we all know that certain leaders were involved in creating Boko Haram. So, it would take some time for the new government to make hard decisions. The unpatriotic actions and behaviours of the herdsmen who have been attacking farms and killing farmers were parts of what affected food production now because farmers have deserted their farmlands.
“Another aspect is that the Central Bank of Nigeria should disclose who received about two trillion CBN allocation for funding all commodities associations like cassava, mushroom, and rice in the last 20 years.

“We need explanations from those who get billions on constituency projects execution and how much was paid to them. The local government chairmen should explain how much they received and how many projects they executed in their local government areas.
“The government released billions of naira to state governments for agriculture and housing, what did they use the money for since we all know that people are the machines for sound economic breakthroughs?
“From the above information, the public should not allow themselves to be misled to go on protest or used by politicians or neo-colonialists puppets to go on strike.”
He further urged Nigerians, “especially our youths, not to listen or join or promote those who have failed to be patriotic and nationalistic in transforming their visions into reality, thereby creating hardship to the common man on the street and pushing the blame on President Tinubu.”
“Whistleblowers should work hard to expose those with illegal money,” he added.

The claimants are asking the court to declare that the caretaker committee (Igbafen-led faction), constituted on August 11, 2025, by the NLC national leadership, remains the only lawful authority to administer the affairs of the Edo State Council pending fresh elections.
They further seek a declaration that the continued occupation of the NLC secretariat located at No. 1 Teboga Road, Benin City, as well as the retention of union assets, financial records, and official instruments by the defendants, is illegal and void.
The suit also prays for an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendants from parading themselves as officials of the NLC Edo Council or interfering with the functions of the caretaker committee.
In addition, the claimants are seeking a mandatory order compelling the defendants to immediately hand over the secretariat, vehicles, financial documents, cheque books, and all other properties belonging to the union.

“We categorically state that the continued targeting of Nigerians under any guise is unacceptable and must come to an immediate end.
“This will include major corporations such as MTN Group and MultiChoice Group. It is morally indefensible for businesses to thrive in an environment where the lives of Nigerians are protected, while Nigerians are subjected to fear and violence elsewhere.
“This contradiction will no longer be tolerated,” the statement said.
