The Edo State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has raised the alarm over an alleged last minutes plan by Governor Godwin Obaseki’s to “convert all his former political aides and others who were his personal staff in Afrinvest Company, into the Edo State Civil Service.”

The party also alleged that “Obaseki has empanelled a sinister body to workout a new minimum wage of N85,000 for workers in the state, despite the open fact that he has been unable to fully implement the N70,000 approved by the APC led Federal Government of Nigeria.”

In a statement issued by the party state acting chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe, and made available to INFO DAILY, the party said the allegations have been investigated, and findings affirmed the “terrible decisions Mr. Obaseki has implemented and still planning to implement at the twilight of his government.”
