Edo-born Star Makes Wave In Entertainment Industry

A fast rising Nollywood star, Osifo Iyobosa, popularly known as Naigbe is currently making waves in the movie industry in Nigeria.

The young and intelligent actor, comedian has performed in several movies and home video right from his university days at the prestigious University of Benin

Iyobosa is an indigene of Igueye village in Ovia Northeast local government area of Edo state Nigeria.

He had his primary education at Ugbowo Primary school and later proceeded to Adolo college (now Edo boys high school) where he later gained admission into the department of theatre arts in university of Benin (Uniben) where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree

Naigbe who was diligent and focused during his university days, featured in different movies during his first year after graduation as he took part in several theatre performance within and outside Benin city.

Suffice it to say that due to his love fo acting he enrolled into the Benin Film Academy(BFA) in 2017 as a student to further enhance his talent in screen acting where he began his career as a professional actor with the Nollywood veteran Film designer and Director , Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen

In 2019 Iyobosa became part of the international organisation for migration’s (IOM) campaign against irregular migration in Nigeria.

As a thespian, he has travelled to over 50 communities across Edo state as one of the actors in IOM community theatre group. Also, in 2018 Naigbe emerged 2nd runner-up in Deepend casting house unscripted reality TV show and won an award as the most friendly house mate.

In 2020 he became the Acting lecture at the Benin film academy and got his first role in a film titled, Based on Principles produced and directed by Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, staring other Nollywood actors like Eddy Watson, Etinosa idemudia, Ebube, Jennifer Osawe etc.

Between the period of 2017 -2021 Iyobosa Naigbe Osifo has played prominent roles in about 20 Nollywood films like Queen of queens (on iroko TV), family first (on Nevada TV), Ovhanbabe (on iroko TV), Obele (on iroko TV) Son of mercy (cinema /Netflix),Ggege (cinema) including the popular Africa magic TV series Enakhe.

Naigbe has had the privilege to work with note able Nollywood directors like Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, kabbat Esosa Egbon, Amen Imasuen, Stanley Obi, Peter Ogbeh, Frank Raja amongst others.

BBNaija: I Will Never Go Back On Reality Show – Seyi Awolowo Vows

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Seyi Awolowo, has vowed never to return to the show if given the opportunity.

Featuring in a recent episode of the Old Secrets podcast, Awolowo lamented that he allowed himself to be bullied by “very low, insignificant and uneducated people” by accepting to be on the show and vowed not to allow that again.

He explained that if he could go back in time, he still wouldn’t change any of his actions in the house, stressing that he has already been chastised and have learned from his mistakes.

He, however, lamented the attitude of some educated elites who also joined in bullying out of convenience.

“I allow myself get bullied by very very insignificant and uneducated people. Not to mention the educated ones amongst that have the ability to see the truth but because of convenience, refused to stand by it,” he said.

Philomena Osawaru, the mother-in-law of singer Innocent Idibia, aka 2Face, has told the music star and his wife, Natasha, that she wants to see a baby when next she visits them.

Mrs Osawaru gave the charge at the Idibia’s residence in Lagos on Friday while celebrating the legendary musician’s 50th birthday.

She noted that she’s delighted to have the singer as her son-in-law, and prayed that he continues to age with grace.

The Afrobeats wave continues to sweep through the UK music scene, with fresh talents and seasoned stars holding firm on the Official Charts Company’s latest ranking.

American singer Odeal’s Miami maintained its No. 1 position for a ninth consecutive week, but it was Nigerian sensation Rema who made headlines with an impressive debut. His new single Fun entered straight at No. 2, shaking up the leaderboard and cementing his global appeal.

South African star Tyla, whose Is It previously peaked at No. 1, slipped one spot to No. 3, while Ayra Starr climbed to No. 4 with the sultry Hot Body, equalling her career-best position.
