Enemies To Feel Impact Newly Introduced Techniques Of Nigerian Army – CAOS

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lit:-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has said that the enemies of the country would soon feel the impact of the newly introduced techniques and procedures in the Nigerian Army.

He stated this in Bauchi on Tuesday shortly after a firepower demonstration exercise at the Victor Kure Armour range, to mark the culmination of the 2025 Combat Arms Training Week (CAT).

Represented by Maj:-Gen. Henry Wesley, Commander Ordnance Corps, Headquarters, Oluyede explained that the federal government had already bought a lot of equipment and weapons to further tackle all forms of insurgency and terrorism.

He added that President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian Army were working vigorously to ensure that the changes they have promised Nigerians were seen and reflected in the field.

This particular event is very important because we have discussed strategies, operations and tactics and at the end, it is at the tip of the spear that all these will be reflected.

“It was very important that all the participants are brought here to come and see the capabilities that exist right now with which we are using to execute the various operations that we have.

“What we have done is to discuss strategies, review plans and policies and to also practice some of the techniques and the procedures that were recently introduced into our doctrine along with our soldiers and junior commanders.

“What you are expected to see very soon is the change in the tide of activities based on the new modus operandi and how we conduct our operations at all levels.

“The enemies are not here but they will feel it at the end of the day by the time they see us and I speak to you, the government has already bought a lot of equipment and weapons. Some are already in the field, some are still coming,” he stated.

The COAS explained that the fire power demonstration was very important as it acquaints the participants with latest capabilities that existed with which the army was using to execute various operations.

Also speaking, Maj:-Gen. Obinna Ajunwa, the Commander, Armoured Corps, said that the week-long event served as a forum for discussing pertinent issues affecting combat arms operations and other issues affecting the Nigerian Army at large.

He commended all the officers and men present, especially the retired senior officers who took time out of their tight schedule to witness the firepower demonstration exercise.

Xenophobic Attacks: Nigerian Students To Picket MTN, MultiChoice, Other Businesses

The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS South-West Zone D, has announced plans to picket South African companies in Nigeria following the ongoing xenophobic attacks in the country.

DAILY POST reports that some Nigerians were recently killed in South Africa over the violent attacks.

A statement issued to newsmen by Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode, Coordinator, NANS South-West, Zone D, said that the association is mobilizing to take decisive and lawful action by organizing peaceful picketing and mass advocacy against South African business interests operating in Nigeria.

“We categorically state that the continued targeting of Nigerians under any guise is unacceptable and must come to an immediate end.

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has opened a new round of applications for its SheVentures proposition, offering zero-interest loans of up to ₦10 million to women entrepreneurs to ease access to working capital and support business growth.

The facility provides loans ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦5 million under a general category, and ₦5 million to ₦10 million for sector-specific businesses, with funding capped at up to 50% of an applicant’s average monthly turnover.

At the centre of the offering is a 0% interest rate, with all charges embedded in a transparent structure.

Repayment is structured over four or six months, allowing businesses to match obligations with their cash flow cycles.
