Estranged Wife, Anita Drags Paul Okoye To Court Over Alleged Infidelity

Amid a divorce battle, legendary singer, Paul Okoye of the P-Square group, has been dragged to court by his estranged wife, Anita, over infidelity during their marriage.

Last year, the news about the sudden separation between Paul and his estranged wife, Anita, broke out with the latter reportedly citing unfaithfulness on the part of her husband.

Recall that the pair met in 2004 during their undergraduate days at the University of Abuja and got married on March 22, 2014, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Their union has produced three children; Andre — born in 2013 — and the twins, Nathan and Nadia, born in 2017.

Last year, Anita had filed for divorce. She requested the dissolution of her marriage with Paul, as per a partly redacted court document that surfaced and went viral on social media platforms.

According to the petition filed at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Anita cited “irreconcilable difference” as her reason, asking Paul to challenge it if he felt disgruntled.

But in another court document seen by The Nation on Friday, Anita filed a lawsuit against Paul Okoye at a High court in Abuja. She also revealed several chats with the singer and other women.

Anita had accused the singer of having an affair with one of their housemaids named Florence.

According to the leaked documents, it was stated that Paul Okoye sent his estranged wife and her sister packing after they discovered the affair between him and the housemaid.

It was also stated that the singer boasted about it, claiming it was a means to clip his wife’s wings so she could have no one else to lean on.

Anita equally alleged that Paul Okoye showed little interest in his kid’s upbringing, and barely participated in training them.

She added that he backed out of an undertaking by failing to give her brand, TannkCo, a space in the mall to which she contributed N10m for the purchase of the land and the building of the mall. These, she listed, as her reasons for filing a lawsuit.

Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has clarified the reason behind her hit song ‘Somebody’s son.

The mother of one said the song is not about relationships but about Jesus Christ.

Tiwa said this in a viral video during her performance.

According to her, people told her the song was not going to be a hit because it relates to just women.

However, she corrected the narrative because everyone needs somebody’s son, ‘Jesus Christ’

Tiwa said: “They said this song would not be a hit because only females will listen to it. Men are not going to sing Somebody’s son.

“But you know when I wrote this song, I was not thinking about a relationship but Jesus Christ because he’s the real somebody’s son.

“So I said to doubters that people will relate to this song whether you’re a man or woman because we all need somebody’s son.”

‘South-South’ One Of Nigeria’s Biggest Scam – US-based Nigerian Actor

US-based actor, Chidi Mokeme has argued that the coinage ‘South-South’ is one of the biggest scams in Nigeria.

He avowed the term was nothing more than ‘a construct of the Nigerian State to create confusion and division among the people of the South-East and South-South regions.’

The filmmaker noted the division intended with the creation of the ‘scam construct’ was already working as he revealed that he was already being dragged for an autocorrect which he claimed to be an oversight.

“This is one of the biggest SCAMS in Nigeria. And one day the question must be asked, and we must have the conversation – What is SOUTH SOUTH? It is nothing but a construct of the Nigerian State to create confusion & division among the people of the Southeast region. #ChidiSense

“So I was wondering what all the fuss was about until I traced it back to this tweet right here. I was going to start a convo on the disservice of going from the regional system to what we have now, but somehow got distracted and ended up leaving this lone tweet up here, but mehn!

Kizz Daniel Snubbed Show Despite Pleas, Tears – Promoter

A concert promoter in Tanzania, Stephen Uwa, has narrated why Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oluwatobiloba Daniel, aka Kizz Daniel, refused to show up for a concert in Tanzania.

The police on Monday arrested the singer in Tanzania for failure to show up for a paid concert.

Speaking with media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, on Monday night, Uwa narrated what transpired between himself and the Buga crooner.

According to him, Kizz Daniel refused to perform at the event because he (Kizz Daniel) was not with his gold chain.

“He (Kizz Daniel) only said the airline didn’t bring his bag that is why he cannot perform. Because his gold chain is not there. And he had a gold chain on his neck. He wanted everything,” Uwa said.

the show promoted notes that he booked Kizz Daniel through his management, Upfront and Personal Global, headed by Paul Okoye, popularly known as Paul O.

According to him, Paul O cried and begged Kizz Daniel to come for the show too.

“Paul O is the one I booked Kizz from. Paul O cried all night trying to beg this guy ‘Please go to this show’,” Uwa said.

The show promoter added that he paid Kizz Daniel $60, 000 to perform on the show and still had to beg him but the singer didn’t show up.

“Three times, I knelt for Kizz Daniel and I beeged him,” Uwa said

He added, “I paid this guy $60, 000 to perform on this show. I went down on my knees. I was like ‘Bro, you are damaging me. I am trying to build my company here. You are going to damage me’. I begged this guy ‘Save my career, save me’.”

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has announced that the singer has been released from police custody in Tanzania and will return to the country.
