We now have to focus on the next game. We will study the Egyptians and develop our tactics for the next game. We know it will be tougher because even this team today was tougher than the last time we played, so we will prepare well not to let the country down.”

Meanwhile Deputy Governor of Edo state Comrade Philip Shaibu praised the team for their victory calling on the technical crew to work on “finishing of goals, as we missed more open one-on-one opportunities than we scored. If we had scored those goals we missed, we would have scored more than 10 goals. Goal opportunities don’t come always like that, so we must learn to take opportunities when we have them.”

According to the former goalkeeper, the Premier League west London club needs to add experienced players to mentor the young players in the squad.

“You have to look at what you want to achieve. You can have young, talented players, and you can win, but it’s very rare that you manage to do that,” he said.
