FRSC Rescues Pregnant Woman In Labour

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos Command, on Saturday, May 23, rescued a pregnant woman struggling to drive herself to hospital amid agony of labour pains.

Bisi Kazeem, the Command’s spokesman, while disclosing this in a statement on Sunday, said a patrol team belonging to the Airport Unit Command of the Corps, at about 2.34 p.m. sighted the pregnant woman.

“She was struggling to drive amidst painful labour and was rushed to a nearby hospital in Ajao Estate, where she was delivered of a baby girl barely three hours later,’’ he added.

H explained that the gesture was part of the Corps statutory responsibility of saving lives through prompt rescue services on the roads.

Kazeem noted that this was one among many of such interventions that the operatives of the Corps carry out from time to time as they embark on patrol.

He noted that the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, has expressed deep appreciation to the patrol team for the prompt intervention and rescue services.

Kazeem added that Oyeyemi further applauded them for such act of compassion and sacrifice which was a positive representation of the true mission of the Corps.

BREAKING: Scores Trapped As Building Collapses In Kano

Yet-to-be ascertained number of people are currently trapped in the rubble of a building which collapsed in the Kuntau area of Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State.

Sources said at least eleven persons are trapped under the rubble, mostly workers.

Excavation is currently ongoing while some corpses have been recovered.

Operatives of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission FCCPC on April 25, raided supermarkets in Port Harcourt, seizing underweight and re-bagged rice.

The commission disclosed this on its X handle.

It wrote:‘’FCCPC’s South-South Zonal Office conducted a routine enforcement operation in some supermarkets in the Woji area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, targeting underweight and re-bagged rice. Products that were suspected to be substandard were evacuated for further investigation.”

Outrage As Kingsmen Flogged Anambra Man To Death [VIDEO]

An elderly Igbo man has died after he was flogged and tortured by his kinsmen.

Mr. Kenneth, aged 60, died in Nza Ozubulu, Anambra State, hours after being brutally tortured.

A video of the assault has been shared online.

It shows two kinsmen flogging his naked body mercilessly while he cried for help and writhed in pain.

Blood, sweat, and tears mixed on his body as they flogged him.

His hands were bound behind him, preventing him from escaping.

“What did I do?” the man asked repeatedly.

The men flogging him told him that he stole.

Another video shows the man lying lifeless later. Dried blood and open wounds designed his entire body.

It was later announced that he has passed on.

Eyewitnesses claim Mr Kenneth was flogged because he allegedly sold a water tank in his family house and used the money to solve family issues.

Subsequently, his younger brother allegedly arrested him with a vigilante group. He was tortured for hours and died in the process.

Concerned Nigerians have called on the state governor and the police to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

They are also calling on the government to protect his bereaved wife and children who are being intimidated in their efforts to seek justice for Mr Kenneth.
