Gbaramatu Urban Beat Ogbe-Ijoh United To Win Amaseikumor 2025 Football Fiesta

Gbaramatu Urban Team defeated Ogbe-Ijoh United 1-0 in the final of the Amaseikumor Festival 2025 tourney.

Gbaramatu Urban defeated Uvwie United 2-1 to qualify for the final while Ogbe-Ijoh United won Gbaramatu Zone 1-0 to qualify for the final.

Gbaramatu Zone defeated Uvwie United 4-00 to take the third place of the tournament .

In the final game, the centre referee awarded a penalty shootout in favour of the Gbaramatu Urban Team in the 66 minutes of the game which led to controversy, and Ogbe-Ijoh United walked out of the pitch.

However, after over 35 minutes of the controversy about the penalty awarded, normalcy was restored and the centre referee insisted the penalty shootout stands, which the Gbaramatu Urban Team utilised and scored the penalty shootout.

Gbaramatu Urban Team lift the trophy

Ogbe-Ijoh United fought to equalise the 1 goal but to no avail.

Gbaramatu Urban defeated Uvwie United 2-1 to qualify for the final while Ogbe-Ijoh United won Gbaramatu Zone 1-0 to qualify for the final.

Meanwhile, Presley Friday of Gbaramatu Urban Team won the golden boot while Pere Joseph of Ogbe-Ijoh United emerged higher goal scorer of the tournament. Gideon Blankson from Ogbe-Ijoh United also clinched the best goalkeeper of the tourney.

12 teams drawn form Ijaw, Urhobo and Isoko participated in the Amaseikumor festival 2025 football tourney.

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has handed his old club two signings to make in the summer.

Merson wants Arsenal to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez and a new midfielder.

EPL: Wayne Rooney Picks Most Improved Player This Season

Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney, has picked the Red Devils defender Luke Shaw as the most improved player in the Premier League following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Speaking on his BBC podcast, Rooney said, “I think, for me, Luke Shaw. I think Luke Shaw has been the most improved player this season.

“I know he is an experienced player now, but I think his level this season has been much better than it has been in recent seasons.

EPL: Maresca Signs Three-year Contract To Replace Guardiola At Man City

Former Chelsea and Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca has signed a three-year contract with Manchester City.

Maresca will now replace Pep Guardiola, who took charge of his last game on Sunday – a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X on Tuesday: “Enzo Maresca has already signed a three-year deal as Manchester City’s new manager.
