According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), earlier, Balikis in her petition prayed the court to grant her divorce due to irresponsible behaviour, lack of care, love and trust by her husband.
She told the court that her first child was AS while the second child was discovered to be SS.

“The only thing I know is that my parents said that my genotype is AA but I have never done an official test to confirm.

“That is why I told my husband before marriage that my genotype was AA while he told me he was AS,” she said.
She said that since her husband knew about her genotype, he stopped caring for her and the children and hardly gives them money for food and health services.
Responding, Jimoh told the court that he believed his wife when she said she was AA because she was educated and should know better.
“I met her through her aunty. I was angry when I learnt that her genotype is AS because I trusted her.
“I have accepted my faith.
“On October 17, my father-in-law invited me over and told me not to worry. He asked my wife to move out of the house.
“All efforts to resolve the issue failed and my in-law reported me to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps where I was directed to pay N10,000 monthly for children’s feeding,” he said.

She Grabs, Pulls My Manhood Anytime We Fight — Husband

A woman, Sukura, frustrated by her husband, Quadri’s irresponsible behaviour, has brought a divorce suit against him at Grade A Customary Court, sitting at Mapo, Ibadan Oyo State.
Sukura, in her suit, alleged that Quadri failed to take care of her and their children, adding that he was fond of beating and assaulting her.
The plaintiff explained that the defendant was a womaniser and constantly lavished his money on women, while he starved her and their children.
The plaintiff again said that the defendant was indifferent to their children’s education and never paid their children’s school fees.
Sukara told the court that peace had deserted her because Quadri always threatened to deal with her any time she brought his attention to his shortcomings.
Sukara, in addition to divorce, pleaded for their children’s custody.
She begged the court to make her husband responsible for their welfare.
She further requested an order restricting her husband from harassing, threatening, and interfering with her private life.

Quadri denied all the allegations Sukara brought against him, but acceded to divorce.
He stated that he and his wife always fought because of the strain they were experiencing in their finances.
He added that she had no regard for him.
Quadri stated that he and his wife were Muslims, but that his wife later started going to church without his permission.
Quadri admitted to beating his wife black and blue anytime they fought because she was fond of pulling his manhood, which he said was painful.
Sukura said: “My husband and I held an introduction ceremony after we courted for some months, and he paid my bride price.
“My life has been miserable since I got married to my husband.
“My husband is a womaniser. He neglects his duties in the home and runs after everything in the skirt.
“He lavishes money on strange women, while our children and I languish and suffer. I bear the brunt of our children’s welfare.

“He, in addition, took to threatening me and swearing to make a waste of my life.
“My lord, I am tired of my relationship with my husband, and I no longer want to go further in it.
“I entreat this honourable court to end our relationship and grant me custody of our three children.
“I also plead that the court mandates my husband to be in charge of our children’s welfare, giving feeding, education and health care, a priority.
“I further request an order restricting him from threatening me and interfering with my private life.”

She put their three children in the plaintiff’s custody and mandated the defendant to be responsible for their upkeep.
She further released an order restraining the defendant from threatening and interfering with the plaintiff’s private life.
