How I Gained My Sight After Being Born Blind – Singer Chidinma

Nigerian singer, Chidinma Ekile, fondly known as Miss Kedike, has recounted how she was born blind and later gained her sight.

Chidinma disclosed this in a recent video posted on her YouTube page.

According to the singer, her parents had to resort to spiritual means when all medical efforts proved abortive.

She said that her mother made her pact with God in the process; after which, she gained her sight.

She said: “I was born blind actually, I didn’t open my eyes at all, it became a challenge, my parents tried all they could to get this baby to see, all proved abortive.

“We had to resort to God, here is my mum, being a prayer warrior; she just started praying all of a sudden, started fasting from nowhere. These were things my parents were never used to but they had to because of the situation. And eventually, I started to see.

“I remember that my mum, according to her, had promised to give me back to God, if God could help her solve that problem.”

Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has revealed how he met his wife Chioma.

Davido, in an Interview with YouTuber and vlogger Tayo Aina, said he first met Chioma while they were both studying at Babcock University.

The singer mentioned he was pursuing a degree in music, while Chioma studied Economics.

He said in part, “I was in school for a year before I blew up. That was when I met my wife. I remember the day I saw her. I can never forget it.

“I was in a Prado, and I looked behind and I saw this girl walking. Just there with her bag, it was Chioma.

“I told Lati omo I like that girl, go and call that girl for me.

“He called her but she did not answer me at the time. Later on, she came to Lagos and we linked up. And I was like, yeah, I got you.”

Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has made history as the first African artiste to sell out the 80, 000-capacity London Stadium.

Burna Boy’s concert, which was held on Saturday in the United Kingdom, sparked delight among his fans by virtue of his performance.

Confirming the record via its official Twitter handle on Saturday before the show, the London Stadium congratulated the singer for the achievement.

It tweeted: “NOW SOLD OUT @burnaboy’s RECORD-BREAKING concert has now officially SOLD OUT.”

What an incredible achievement for the first-ever African artist to solo headline a UK stadium. For those lucky enough to make it, enjoy the show.”

Rising Nigerian singer, Blessing Mariam Akiode, better known as Candy Bleakz, has said the lack of relationship between female artistes is the reason it is more difficult for them to thrive in the music industry compared to their male counterparts.

She said it is particularly difficult for her to be accepted by her female colleagues because of her unique style of music.

The 23-year-old appeared on the latest episode of the Clout Africa podcast.

Candy Bleakz said, “For [Nigerian] female artistes generally, there is no relationship among female artistes. No vibe, no nothing, you know.

“Then now, my music is now even different from what they are doing, now I’m trying to like sync myself in, like, yo, I’m here. What’s up? So, it’s harder.”
