Just In:Nollywood Actress Dies After Slumping

Nollywood actress, Emilia Dike, died on Wednesday, May 20, after she reportedly slumped in Enugu.

Movie Director and Producer, Mr Okechukwu Oku, while announcing this via his Instagram page, expressed shock and sadness over the actress death.

he wrote, “Why is death taking the best people???? I’m confused oooo.

“Just filmed with Mama here on my 2 last projects, excited to release it and this horrible news today.

” A woman with a heart of gold, Aah noooo. Will miss you Mrs Dike.

“Nollywood has lost a gem in you. This is messed up.”

Some Nollywood stars like Uche Ogbodo, Anita Joseph, Belinda Effah, Ken Erics and others have expressed shock at the news of her passing.

Dike featured in Nollywood movies such as “Ignorant couples”, “Dust of yesterday”, “Kings Guard”, “Where Money Never Sleep 1 and 2”, and many more.

Funke Akindele Deletes Politics-related Posts On Her Instagram Page

Famous Nollywood actress turned politician Funke Akindele has deleted all political-related posts shared on her Instagram page.

Akindele, the running mate to the Lagos State governorship candidate under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abdulazeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, deleted the posts hours after her defeat.

A check by DAILY POST showed that all her political engagements during the electioneering process and photos from her campaign rallies were absent.

This comes after the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, defeated PDP in the just concluded March 18, 2023, gubernatorial elections.

Sanwo Olu won with 762,134 votes, defeating the Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, who scored 312,329, followed by Abdul-Azeez Adediran with 62,449 votes.

Kanye West Escapes Prosecution After Throwing Photographer’s Phone

Controversial rapper, Kanye West, may escape facing another legal battle for throwing a female photographer’s phone on the street in January.

West – now known formally as Ye – had in January tossed the phone of the photographer into the street close to a facility where his daughter, North, was playing basketball.

The rapper accused the female paparazzo of “following” him to his kids’ basketball game.

Ye had asked the photographer in the video not to film him while he was trying to spend time with his kids, according to TMZ.

However, the rapper will not face charges for throwing the female photographer’s cell phone.

A press release from the Ventura Co. District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday revealed the phone suffered minor damage.

It said the damage only affected the $30 case around the device.

The statement added that the female paparazzo declined to press charges against Ye, TMZ reports.
