Kizz Daniel Appears Online Smoking Three Months After Quitting Habit

Three months after announcing that he had quit smoking, Popular Nigerian artiste, Kizz Daniel has returned to the habit.
Recall that in May, Kizz Daniel made this known in a video announcing that he took the decision for the sake of his children.
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have uncovered some consignment concealed inside flood items exporting to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
The consignments, according to Director, Media & Advocacy NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, were exporting through the SAHCO shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos.

In a release on Sunday, NDLEA said on Friday, August 5, 442 parcels of Crystal Methamphetamine concealed in heads of fishes packed in cartons for export to Dubai brought to the airport by a freight agent, Adekunle Oluwapelumi Paul, 32, exporting to Dubai were uncovered.
The following day, Babafemi said 1.45kg cannabis concealed inside granulated melon and crayfish and packed among other food condiments going to Dubai, UAE brought to the airport by another freight agent, Lateef Ajisefini, 39, were also intercepted.
The freight agents, Paul and Ajisefini that presented the cargo for export at the SAHCO shed have been arrested.
Meanwhile, anti-narcotic officers at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu also arrested a 50-year-old Mgbeobuna, Victor Eberechukwu for ingesting 77 pellets of cocaine.
He was arrested on Saturday, August 6, following his arrival from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia onboard an Ethiopian airline flight.
The suspect who hails from Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra state passed out the 77 wraps of the illicit drug in eight excretions spanning four days, the statement said.
In Kaduna, three suspects: Saifullahi Sani, Salisu Nafi’u and Abdulrazaq Mamman, were arrested in Zaria on Thursday, August 11, with 1,112,350 tablets of Tramadol (225mg and 100mg) weighing 38.3kg, while in Kano, a female drug dealer, Saratu Abdullahi, 28, from Wurno council area of the state was nabbed at Hotoro with 541 blocks of cannabis weighing 245kg.
In Lagos, NDLEA operatives recovered a total of 1,773.25kg cannabis sativa at Ebutte-Meta and Akala in Mushin areas of the state in separate raid operations between 9th and 10th Aug. At the Tincan seaport in Lagos, 86 parcels of cannabis indica (Colorado) weighing 43kg were recovered from a 40ft container during a joint examination with Customs and other security agencies.
The illegal consignment seized on Friday 12th Aug came from Toronto via Montreal, Canada and concealed in two drums inside a Mercedes Benz SUV in the container.

In Abia, two suspects: Nnanna ljo, 58, and Orji Uguru, 29, While commending the officers and men of MMIA, AIIA, Tincan, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos and Abia Commands of the Agency for the seizures and arrests, Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa
(Retd) charged them and their compatriots across the country to always remain steps ahead of the drug cartels.
He said: “To celebrate my birthday and for the sake of my kids and people who genuinely love me, I quit smoking.”
However, in a new video on his Instagram page, the father of two was seen smoking a cigarette.
He captioned the video, “Ko easy’ meaning, “it is not easy.”
Meanwhile, Kizz Daniel was arrested in Tanzania last week, during his Afroclassic Tour after he did not show up for a show which he had been paid for.
The social media was agog after Kizz Daniel was seen escorted to a police station by policemen on the orders of the show promoter.

I’ve Been Blacklisted In Music Industry For 13 Years – Seun Kuti
Grammy-nominated Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has claimed that he has been blacklisted in the Nigerian music industry for about 13 years due to his style of music.
He explained that because his late father Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and his contemporaries used their music as a form of protest against bad governance, the government invested heavily in vain artists while targeting conscious musicians.
Speaking in a recent episode of the Saleh Meditate podcast, Kuti said government’s interference has significantly affected the quality and impact of modern Nigerian music.
He, however, said being blacklisted in Nigeria doesn’t affect him much, stressing that the country is just a fraction of his fanbase.

He said, “The impact of Fela and his contemporaries who spoke truth to power sacred the government. They made the government realised the power of artistry. So, the government invested more in artists who don’t make conscious music than artists who sing about realities.
“When I am in Nigeria, I don’t fear to say whatever I want to say. That is a lot of people are saying that I should be cancelled. I have been cancelled for about 13 years now after I performed conscious music at former Lagos State Governor Ambode’s event. Even before then, my music was heavily restricted.
“I have been cancelled for long. People think I am not cancelled because I am doing well. Nigeria has cancelled me long time but Nigeria is just like a really small percentage of my market. So, being cancelled doesn’t really affect me.”
He added that artists who are scared of being blacklisted are only scared because Nigeria makes up the bulk of their fanbase.

Maverick singer Seun Kuti has ruled out reconciliation with Afrobeats star, Wizkid, declaring that their rift is lifelong.
DAILY POST recalls that Seun Kuti and Wizkid fell apart after the latter claimed he was greater than Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti in response to the former’s directive to fans to stop comparing the Ojuelegba crooner to the late music legend.

When asked in a recent podcast if he has settled his beef with Wizkid, Seun Kuti said he can’t reconcile with the Starboy boss because he disrespected his late dad.

Kuti replied: “It is on for life. I don’t have anything to say about him but it is on for life. You don’t say things about my dad and then it is fine. There is no coming back from that.”
