Mobile Phone Users To Use Maximum Of 3 Numbers -FG

limit the maximum numbers of SIM Cards a single individual could register as his or her to three.
The Minister also directed that NCC must ensure that only fully accredited agents support the SIM card registration process without pre-registering SIM cards themselves, while the eventual registration should be done by the operators.

A statement signed by his Technical Assistant on Information Technology, Femi Adeluyi, says the aim is to curb kidnapping and banditry, hence directing the NCC to revise the policy on SIM Card registration and usage by blocking all the loopholes in the current policy.
According to Daily Trust, the revision of the policy was based on the feedback received from the security agencies following the successful revalidation of improperly registered SIM cards in September 2019 and the blocking of those that failed to revalidate their SIMs.

The updated policy, according to the Minister is expected ensure that the National Identity Number becomes a prerequisite for Nigerians registering new SIM cards (while for foreigners, their passports and visas should be used), while already registered SIM cards are to be updated with National Identity Number before 1st December, 2020.

Indiscipline Not Tolerated here – NYSC Warns Corps Members

EditorThe National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has warned all the corps members across the country that any act of indiscipline would not be tolerated.
Mrs Rifkatu Yakubu, the Bauchi state Coordinator of the NYSC stated this in Bauchi on Tuesday during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘A’ stream II corps members in the state.
According to her, any corps member found indulging in any form of indiscipline would be decisively dealt with in accordance with NYSC bylaws.
“You must equally obey all camp officials as they are your guardians. Indiscipline is not tolerated here and I assure you that if you are law abiding you will have a very fruitful and enjoyable camping exercise.

“On our part, we pledge to do our utmost best to ensure that you experience the regimented nature of camp throughout the duration of the orientation course and the entire service year,” she said.
The state Coordinator commended Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state for his approval of the renovation and repairs of damaged camp facilities as well as his release of funds to augment feeding of corps members for the orientation exercise.
She said that the corps members would be given the opportunity to serve in the various committees set up for the smooth running of the camp.
This, she believed, would give them practical experience in administration and a chance to contribute to decisions that affect them.
Speaking, governor Mohammed expressed happiness with the sense of patriotism and enthusiasm demonstrated by the corps members by promptly reporting to the orientation camp.

Represented by Mr Mohammed Salees, the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mohammed enjoined them to cherish his commendation and become a catalyst for change in this orientation camp and during the entire service year.
Mohammed however, urged them to take with utmost seriousness the noble call and dedicate themselves toward achieving the Scheme’s goal of national unity and development.
“The good people of Bauchi State appreciate and understand the objectives and philosophy of the NYSC.
“In view of this, we have resolved to join hands with you in every way possible to ensure the success of the Scheme in the State.
“I implore you to take with utmost seriousness the nation’s clarion call to serve with greater dedication and commitment. The future of this country lies in your hands,” he said.

BREAKING: Dangote Further Crashes Diesel, Aviation Fuel Price

EditorDangote Petroleum Refinery has again announced a further reduction in the prices of diesel and aviation fuel to N940, N980 per litre respectively.
This is coming at the wake of its widely celebrated price reduction to N1,000 barely two weeks ago.
The price change of N940 is applicable to customers buying five million litres and above from the refinery while the price of N970 is for customers buying one million litres and above.
Speaking on the new development, the Head of Communication, Mr Anthony Chiejina, explained that the new price is in consonance with the company’s commitment to cushion the effect of economic hardship in Nigeria.
“I can confirm to you that Dangote Petroleum Refinery has entered a strategic partnership with MRS Oil and Gas stations, to ensure that consumers get to buy fuel at affordable price, in all their stations be it Lagos or Maiduguri.

“You can buy as low as 1 litre of diesel at N1,050 and aviation fuel at N980 at all major airports where MRS operates,” he stated.
He further stated that the partnership will be extended to other major oil marketers.
“The essence of this is to ensure that retail buyers do not buy at exorbitant prices.
“The Dangote Group is committed to ensuring that Nigerians have a better welfare and as such, we are happy to announce this new prices and hope that it would go a long way to cushion the effect of economic challenges in the country,” he added.

It would be recalled that the management of Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced a further reduction of the price of diesel from 1200 to 1,000 Naira per litre barely two weeks ago.
This marks the third major reduction in diesel price in less than three weeks when the product sold at N1,700 to N1,200 and a further reduction to N1,000 and now N940 for diesel and N980 for aviation fuel per litre.
President Bola Tinubu had also commended Dangote for the initial price reduction, describing it as an “enterprising feat.”

Reacting to the latest development, The Director General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Mr Ajayi Kadiri, said: “The decision of Dangote Refinery to first crash the price from about N1,750/litre to N1,200/litre, N1,000/litre and now N940 is an eloquent demonstration of the capacity of local industries to positively impact the fortunes of the national economy.”
He added: “The trickle down effect of this singular intervention promises to change the dynamics in the energy cost equation of the country, in the midst of inadequate and rising cost of electricity.
“The reduction will have far-reaching effects in critical sectors like industrial operations, transportation, logistics, and agriculture, contributing to easing the high inflation rate in the country; a lot of companies will be back in operation.”
