Published

on

We give praise to God for our nation Nigeria, He has remembered us again to bring revival to every sector of our national life even in our own lifetime. No doubt Nigeria is a favourite of God, predestinated to be a great nation among the committee of nations

In the past 62 years as an independent nation, her citizens – Nigerians – have gone through all manners of misfortune, maladministration (poverty, insecurity, joblessness poor health system, banditry & terrorism, economy downtown and great corruption) in the hands of various leaders at various level either as military or democratic that have come & gone

Through consistent prayers of supplication toward getting solution to Nigeria’s enormous challenges and confusion, God gave a clear-cut mandate to Apostle Akinbiyi Paul Olusegun to organize a nationwide National FASTING & PRAYER programme in every state including the FCT of the country and with a warning that it MUST be done by all citizenry, by basically bringing people together for prayer to ask for devine intervention for healing our dear country, Nigeria.

It’s specific mandate by God for us as nation to seek for His devine intervention before 2023 general election

To this end we thereby enjoin all Nigerians home & abroad (disapora) to join us for the grand finale of this God’s instructed national prayer on Sunday 18th, December, 2022 , and time is 12noon – 1pm Nigeria time and the venue is any convenient place for all citizens.

It is compulsory for us all citizens to participate and raise our voices for God’s intervention in our affairs as nation in the midst of confusion that we are right now as a country

Due to URGENT nature of this prayer (SPECIFIC MANDATE) for our nation; rhe prayer had since begun on Monday 26th September, 2022. I (Apostle Akinbiy Paul Olusegun) and my team have been to 30 states out of the 36 states in our nation for apostolic prayer visit as directed by God while prayer for other remaining states will be carried as slated

God has promised to open chapters of prosperity for our dear country and ignite needed intervention in the midst of confusion in every sector of our national life in the course of this prayer as we pray in unity, as one great nation under God.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 the Bible says: ‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.’ If Nigerians can come together and pray in unison, there is a God who is ready to listen to our prayers and heal our dear nation

The division in the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), took a new dimension on Wednesday as Prof. Monday Monday Lewis Igbafen-led caretaker committee approached the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Benin Judicial Division, seeking to affirm its authority and restrain a rival executive from parading itself as the council’s leadership.

Joined in the suit are the Edo State Government, the Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, and the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.

In a suit marked: NICN/BEN/12/2026, and filed before the court in Benin, the claimant, Igbafen, acting for himself and on behalf of the NLC Caretaker Committee in Edo State, is challenging the continued occupation of the union’s secretariat and control of its assets by members of the Bernard Egwakhide-led factional State Executive Council.

The claimants are asking the court to declare that the caretaker committee (Igbafen-led faction), constituted on August 11, 2025, by the NLC national leadership, remains the only lawful authority to administer the affairs of the Edo State Council pending fresh elections.

They further seek a declaration that the continued occupation of the NLC secretariat located at No. 1 Teboga Road, Benin City, as well as the retention of union assets, financial records, and official instruments by the defendants, is illegal and void.

The suit also prays for an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendants from parading themselves as officials of the NLC Edo Council or interfering with the functions of the caretaker committee.

In addition, the claimants are seeking a mandatory order compelling the defendants to immediately hand over the secretariat, vehicles, financial documents, cheque books, and all other properties belonging to the union.

“We categorically state that the continued targeting of Nigerians under any guise is unacceptable and must come to an immediate end.

“This will include major corporations such as MTN Group and MultiChoice Group. It is morally indefensible for businesses to thrive in an environment where the lives of Nigerians are protected, while Nigerians are subjected to fear and violence elsewhere.
