“Materials actually arrived here late. We started voting after 10am and this is supposed to be the RAC centre, where they take materials to other units in the ward.

“We are close to water, but we couldn’t drink water on time,” said the Edo deputy governor.

Shaibu, however, lauded an improvement in the operation of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).

The device, he said was fast as against the experience during the Sept. 19, 2020 governorship election in the state.

“The one in my unit was faster than the last election, because the last election, I had to clean my finger. I had to use it to rob my head before I was able to get sensation to be captured.

“But this one, I only put my hand and it picked. I think there is an improvement here, but it is not the same in other units.

“One there is slow and the third unit is intermediate. May be technology. But apart from that, the process has been smooth.

“So far, it is peaceful here, but I am aware that in unit 10, ward 9, material for House of Representatives is not there; but only the Senate and the Presidency; even that of the Senate, the booklets are not complete.

“In unit 11 also, House (of Representatives) material is not there and the next one was in piece meal too.

“Sensitization is key; the voters there said untill everything is complete, they would not vote,” the deputy governor said.
