No Nigerian Hip-hop Song More Impactful Than My Song – Odumodublvck Boasts

Controversial hip-hop artist Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has slammed those criticising his style of rap, claiming that they are “intimidated” by his success.

He claimed that his 2023 breakthrough hit, ‘Declan Rice,’ is the most culturally impactful Nigerian hip-hop song in the world.

The rapper also claimed that the song, which Arsenal used to announce the record-breaking signing of Declan Rice from West Ham in July 2023, is “the biggest digital asset” of the club on social media.

Speaking in an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, Odumodublvck said, “If aspiring rappers try to sound like me, they often get discouraged by negative comments. But I made the ‘Good Devil Wells White’ with Larry G and I delivered an A1 verse.

So many other verses, we’ve done it in English, Vernacular, Patois, we’ve done it in every language. But they want to talk down on it because they feel intimidated. Which rap line, let them bring it out that has have more cultural impact than my line in ‘Cast.’ Which hip-hop song has had more impact in the last 20 years? In the history of Nigerian hip-hop, no Nigerian song has had more impact in the world like ‘Declan Rice.’ It is the biggest digital asset on Arsenal football club ever on social media. Check it.

“What metrics are we using here? They should bring it out. But they said I’m not a rapper. That’s a fallacy. That’s ungrateful. And God will punish all of them.”

Nigerian Musician Dies In Canada

Popular live music band leader, Akinloye Tofowomo popularly known as Akiin Shuga, has died at the age of 50.

His death was confirmed in a statement released by his family on Monday.

Akiin Shuga died on October 30, 2025, in New Brunswick, Canada.

The statement described the Shuga Band founder as “a revered music icon and custodian of rhythm, culture, and the spirit of performance”.

The family also said details of funeral arrangements will be revealed in due course.

Akiin Shuga leaves behind his wife, children, siblings, and mother.

Jarvis Threatens To Sue Peller Over Money Laundering Allegation

Popular content creator and TikToker, Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, better known as Jarvis, has threatened legal action against her boyfriend, Peller.

Peller, who is also a TikTok star, had in a recent livestream named Jarvis among other TikTokers that laundered money through the platform’s gifting feature.

Reacting to the allegation, Jarvis management, Aiso Entertainment, tagged Peller’s claim as false.

Jarvis management in a statement shared on her social media page, threatened to sue Peller for defamation, noting that “such accusations are an attack on her character and legality, which deserve stringent legal action of this kind”.

“The management alongside her esteemed legal counsel, denies these allegations and we are currently exploring the possibility of initiating a defamation lawsuit against Mr. Peller,” the statement added.
