A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Bar. Andrew Osawaru, Wednesday, warned that  the party national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, would regret if he eventually makes Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu governor in the forthcoming governorhip election.

He noted that Oshiomhole may be the major loser as he would no longer have the formidable support he enjoyed from Edo North prior to the 2012 election, saying ‘he has balkanized the party and betrayed his political son for those who plotted his impeachment.’

Osawaru who happens to be a legal practitioner, said it will be a greatest mistake of Oshiomole to have working with those who plotted his impeachment when he was the governor of Edo state.

According to him, the deputy governor of the state, Philip Shaibu, who he now sees as his enemy stood by him and fought the new friends of Oshiomole with his blood.

He alleged that the new friends of Oshiomole were the same people that  led thugs to invade the House of Assembly in order to impeach him (Oshiomhole) and was resisted by Shaibu who he now sees as  betrayal.

According to him, the new friends of Oshiomole, have already perfected plans to pay the national chairman back in his coin for the humiliation they got from him when he held sway as the governor of the state.

He said already there is uneasy calm among supporters of Gen. Charles Airhiavbere  and Engr.  Chris Ogiewonmyi and other members of the Edo Peoples Movement  on why Oshiomhole and Capt. Hosa Okunbo will foist on the people, “Pastor” Osagie Ize Iyamu, who left the party.

“While some people are already talking about Oshiomhole’s overbearing influence in the affairs of the state, others are talking about how he will be cut to size by his new found friends after handing over the party’s ticket to them

He noted that the disintegration in the party will be full blown in the  weeks and month ahead as supporters of  various aspirants will want to out-do each other with series of blackmail.
