Ogiadomhe who disclosed this in Benin, Tuesday, at the inauguration of Edo North PDP Elders Council, said the party at the moment needs the cooperation and good counsel of elders.
Ogiadomhe who happens to be the interim chairman of the council, noted that the body is not anyway in conflict with any existing organ of the party, stressing that the council is saddled with the responsibility of looking into issues affecting the party and to give advice on a day to day basis and likewise formulate ideas.
“With the almagamation of the PDP and the APC recently in the state, there is a dare need for leaders and elders to work harmoniously together. Any organisation that lacks the counsel of elders is doom for failure.

A female member of the council, Hajia Jummai Mohammed, urged the council to mandate members to go to their respective wards and LGA to woo members into the party.
She said the opposition party has started registration of members, just as she urged the PDP to do so without wasting time so as not to lose members to the opposition.
