Rema Donates ₦105m To Church That Opened Shop For His Mum

Afrobeats sensation, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has repaid a Christ Embassy church in Benin, Edo State kindness shown him and his family by donating a total of 105 million naira to various organs of the church.

The singer made the donation during a service he attended on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Rema expressed gratitude to the church for its guidance and support, especially for coming through for his family after the death of his father.

His gesture was captured in a video that has now gone viral online.

“I’m not here to give myself any accolades or glory. I’m here to give God the glory. I feel like it is important to give back because the church has embraced, and prayed for me, and has kept me very consistent with my spirit.

“Firstly, I want to give a pledge of N40m to the infrastructure of the church. I want to pledge N20m to Rhapsody of Realities, and being the fact that I came from the teen’s church, I also want to pledge N25m to the infrastructure of the teen’s church.

“I’m pledging N20 million to widows in church today,” he said.

The artist further narrated how the church supported his family during a difficult time after his father’s passing.

“When I was eight year old, when I lost my dad, we felt very lost and abandoned. All that we had was taken from us and we felt very alone I remember at the time Pastor Joy and Pastor Thomas, the pastors of this church, they opened a shop for my mum and that was how she managed to take care of us,” he added.

The Big Brother Naija 10/10 housemates have been narrowed down to the top 10 finalists ahead of Sunday’s grand finale.

The finalists are Kola, Imisi, Isabella, Sultana, Jason Jae, Mensan, Koyin, Kaybobo, Dede, and Faith.

During the live eviction show in Lagos on Sunday, the show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced the exit of three housemates; Mide, Zita, and Rooboy.

The remaining seven contestants joined Sultana, the Head of House; Mensan, the most influential player; and Kaybobo, who secured immunity through the red phone twist deducting ₦10 million from the prize money.

Mide, the first to leave, expressed surprise at how far she had made it in the house.

She said last week was particularly difficult without Bright Morgan but reminded herself why she was in the game.

She told fans, “Watch out for Mide the actress, she is coming,” revealing that her time in the house sparked a passion for acting she plans to explore outside the Big Brother Naija house.

Zita was the second to exit. On stage, she said she was grateful to God for the time spent in the house and reflected on her journey.

On a potential reunion with Danboskid, she said she cannot say until she meets him. Regarding her fight with Rooboy, she described it as emotional, saying, Rooboy is a cool person.

Rooboy was the third housemate evicted. On stage, he shared his plans to explore hyping, acting, contribution into the football community and acting.

The eviction also featured a brief moment with Faith, who acknowledged some tension in the house.

Asked by Ebuka about conflicts with colleagues, he admitted, “I am the problem sometimes and sometimes it is the housemates.”

Isabella addressed questions about her interactions with various male housemates, including Koyin, explaining, she was just having fun.” Koyin confirmed that the fun was mutual.

The bottom three for the week saw Mide topping the chart, with Zita at the last spot.

Sunday’s grand finale promises an exciting conclusion as the top 10 housemates compete for the BBNaija 10/10 crown.

‘We Don’t Monitor Such Record’ —GWR Rejects Nigerian Adult Entertainment Star’s Marathon Sex Attempt

The Guinness World Records, GWR, has rejected plans by controversial Nigerian adult entertainment star, Mandy Kiss, to set a world record by having sex with 100 men at a time.

Mandy Kiss had earlier in an Instagram post announced her plan to attempt to have sex with 100 men.

The event is scheduled for October 30, 2025, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.

The development has sparked controversy on social media with many questioning her moral values.

However reacting to the trending news under a promotional flyer shared by @Naija_PR on X, Guinness World Record distance itself from the attempt.

VDM Mobilises Ratel Movement For Nationwide Community Service

Nigerian controversial social media critic and activist, Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, VDM, has begun mobilising his followers under the banner of the Ratel Movement for a nationwide community service.

In a viral video shared on his Facebook page on Wednesday, VDM said the movement would commence monthly sanitisation of communities from Saturday, November 29, 2025.

According to him, the new civic initiative is aimed at tackling environmental decay and promoting patriotism among Nigerian youths.

“Starting from the 29th of November, 2025, which will be on a Saturday, we the Ratel Movement are taking over Nigeria, we are shutting down this country.

“That being said, we are not shutting down in terms of violence, we are shutting it down in terms of impact,” he said.

VDM explained that the activities would include cleaning public spaces, clearing drainages, rehabilitating school facilities, and other grassroots community services.

“We are going to start what has never been seen before in Nigeria. We are going to be moving from just being on social media claiming to be Ratels to presenting ourselves in real life and impacting our society,” he said.
