A vigilante group, the Onelga Security Peace Advisory Committee, has issued a seven-day ultimatum to native doctors in the Ogba, Egbema, and Ndoni Local Government Areas of Rivers State to relocate.
The leadership of OSPAC stated that any native doctor who fails to vacate within the grace period will be identified during their search operations and sanctioned accordingly.
The Secretary-General of OSPAC, Eze Ohia, disclosed this during a sensitisation exercise held in Omoku, the headquarters of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA, on Thursday.
Ohia said reports reaching the local security outfit indicate that the activities of some native doctors particularly those harbouring fetish items in their homes would no longer be tolerated.

He also announced that, henceforth, strict action would be taken against individuals dressing indecently within the communities, revealing that community leaders have authorised the group to enforce moral discipline.
“The Oba-in-Council has empowered us to relay this information once again. All native doctors, particularly those who are not originally from Omoku many of whom were expelled from their previous communities must leave. One room is filled with charms, and other houses over 30 individuals surrounded by fetish materials.
“All persons who brought charms to Omoku, you have seven days to gather your belongings and vacate the community,” he declared.
Continuing, the OSPAC scribe warned, “If you are caught after seven days, you know what OSPAC and the community will do.”

He also cautioned landlords who accommodate such individuals, stating, “All landlords who have rented rooms to these people must inform them they only have seven days left in Omoku.
“We will not stand by while outsiders flood our community with charms. After seven days, we will begin house-to-house inspections, and any landlord found harbouring them will be held accountable.”
On the matter of indecent dressing, Ohia decried the rising level of moral decay, particularly among young girls. He also dispelled rumours suggesting unrest in the community.
He noted, “To those spreading false information that there is a crisis in Omoku, stop it. Omoku is entirely peaceful.

“The way our young girls dress today is unacceptable. The community has decided to take a stand. We will not allow indecent dressing in public.
“From today, such dressing must stop. Anyone caught will be whipped and stripped naked.”
He added, “The boys are also guilty. From now on, if you are caught sagging your trousers, we will flog you, tear your trousers, and leave you naked.”

The Federal Capital Territory Administration, on Monday, sealed an Access Bank branch and a Total petrol station located in Zone 6, Wuse, Abuja, over non-payment of ground rent spanning 34 years.
The property occupied by Access Bank is officially allocated to Rana Tahir Furniture Nigeria Limited, not the bank directly, according to official documents.
A letter dated March 13, 2025, signed by the Director of Land Administration, Chijioke Nwankwoeze, stated: “The Minister of Federal Capital Territory has in the exercise of powers conferred on him under the Land Use Act No. 6 of 1978, Cap. L5, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, revoked your rights, interests and privileges over Plot No. 2456 within Wuse I, Cadastral Zone A02, Abuja.”

The letter cited the continued default in ground rent payment as the reason for the revocation.
“The revocation is in view of your continued contravention of the terms and conditions of grant of the Right of Occupancy by failing to pay the annual ground rents due on the property for Thirty-Four (34) years,” it stated.
FCTA also shut down the Federal Inland Revenue Service office in Abuja for similar violations.
The closures are part of a larger enforcement campaign targeting defaulting property owners across the FCT.
According to officials, several notices and publications have been issued since 2023, warning all allottees to clear outstanding ground rent obligations.
