SPORTS: Legislator Promises 5,000 Seating Capacity Mini Stadium In Akoko Edo


Honourable Peter Akpatason, member representing Akoko Edo federal constituency at House of Representatives, Wednesday, promised to complete 5,000 seating capacity mini stadium for grassroots sports development in the area.

The Deputy House Leader, who made this known in Ibillo during the inspection tour of the stadium said completing the project would encourage sporting activities across the locality.

He said, ”I will spare no effort to improve the youth through sports”, adding that sports were avenues for the youth to realise their talent.”

Hon. Akpatason said he will do everything with the available resources to provide necessary sporting equipment for youth development.

Speaking to jorunarlists, the site Engineer, Nemah Gojah, said stage was set for pavilion, saying as soon as they receive the letter of bin of quantity (BOQ) they will commence work.
