…He chose to take care of me despite knowing I have another man —Woman

For nine months, a 27-year-old man of Lusaka’s Kanyama compound, Zambia, lived with excitement as he prepared to become a father.

Timothy Banda was convinced that his girlfriend, 22-year-old Tina Kabonde, was carrying his child and out of love, he supported her throughout the nine months of pregnancy.

Banda worked tirelessly to ensure his suppose baby had clothes, baby items and even gave Kabonde money to make sure she was comfortable throughout.

According to Real Times, just a month after the baby was born, Banda’s world came crashing down when he saw another man at Kabonde’s house, carrying groceries and baby supplies.

When Banda asked Kabonde who the man was, Kabonde and her family confessed that the baby Banda had been preparing for was not his.

Heartbroken and angry, Banda decided to take the matter to the Kanyama local court where he demanded that Kabonde and her family repay him all he spent on her.

“I do not want to argue with this family. They are heartless. All I want is for them to give me back the money I spent on the child,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kabonde told the court that she never told Banda the pregnancy was his but claimed he chose to help her out of his own will because he wanted to marry her.

“He knew I had another man. He is just upset because I refused to marry him,” she defended herself.

When the case was heard before the magistrate, Esther Mulomba, the court found that Kabonde had acted unfairly by accepting Banda’s help while knowing the child belonged to another man.

The court ordered Kabonde to compensate Banda for all the money he spent during her pregnancy.

Nollywood Actor, Baba Ijesha, Released From Prison After Three Years

Published

on

Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has regained freedom after spending more than three years in prison following his conviction for sexually assaulting a minor.

The development was disclosed by actor Yomi Fabiyi, who announced that Baba Ijesha had completed the legal processes leading to his release.

His release comes after a Court of Appeal decision that set aside aspects of the earlier judgment delivered by the Lagos State High Court, which had sentenced him to 16 years’ imprisonment in July 2022.

Fabiyi also stated that the appellate court cleared the actor of allegations relating to defilement while criticising the conduct of individuals involved in the initial case.

The actor further raised concerns about discrepancies surrounding the age of the victim, allegations of misconduct by persons connected to the matter, and the handling of evidence.

He argued that several actions taken during the investigation and trial contributed to what he described as selective justice.

He wrote, “You are now officially FREE AND OUT. Baba jesha is not just back but BETTER. I am also happy you were cleared by the APPEAL COURT of ever having sex/defile any child/minor. The 7-year-old story is a charade.

“We live in a terrible world, where sentiments and wickedness rise above the rule of law and truth.

Let it be on record that:

“1. Those that SET THE TRAP engaged in age falsification (because there was no single proof till date anywhere, not even in court that said victim was 14yrs). To me, they only weaponised abuse on child/minor to destroy a weak target and achieve vendetta.”

He alleged that those who sexually abused this girl since 2020 are still out there, claiming one Damola Adekola confirmed the girl was his girlfriend and was asked to walk free despite initially being arrested alongside Baba ljesha.

Make it make sense: same case, same victim, same investigation.

“3. Princess Comedian groomed the girl (minor) for sexual activities. This is coupled with negligence because sperm was found on the girl days after Baba ljesha was arrested, and it is not for Baba ljesha. Test conformed she recently lost her virginity then.

“4. Princess Comedian and her co-travellers engaged in CHILD PORNOGRAPHY by deliberately installing cameras on the same day Baba ljesha was invited to film. She recorded how her foster daughter was sexually abused (THAT IS IF THE GIRL IS TRULY 14YRS).

“5. Princess Comedian subjected the girl to re-truama. She practically wants the girl to suffer PTSD just because she wants to gather evidence (THAT IS IF THE GIRL IS TRULY 14YRS). She abused the rights of the girl because she relied on her for food, shelter, and guidance.

“6. Etc

“We, as a Human Rights Organization, never and will never condone or support any form of sexual abuse, let alone on children or minors.

“We will continue to fight against selective justice, abuse of fundamental human rights of any persons, and fight against organised crime like in the case of Baba ljesha.

“Prerequisites for Princess Comedian actions are errored. It has no propensity in law. Justice on two left.”
