Viral Videos: I Never Knew Tinubu Was This Sick, Atiku This Old – Nigerian Cleric

Published

A popular Catholic priest, Rev Fr Kelvin Ugwu, has reacted to the viral videos of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, counterpart, Atiku Abubakar.

Recall that Tinubu posted a short video of himself on an exercise bike on Sunday evening to debunk rumours making the rounds that he is very sick.

Similarly, a motion picture of Atiku, which captured him dancing to a song by a Nigerian artist, also went viral on Sunday.

Reacting, Fr Kelvin, a missionary priest serving outside the country, said in a post on his verified Facebook page that the video clips exposed the weakness of the two presidential candidates.

He wrote, “I never knew Atiku is this old. I never knew Tinubu is this sick. The dance video exposed Atiku as one who is really old and frail.

“The cycling video exposed Tinubu as one who is so sick and in need of validation with any video, even if it is an old video.

“The big problem with both of them is greed. The biggest problem with both of them is that those around them are more greedy. They successfully surrounded themselves with sycophants and parasites than true and genuine lovers who would tell them the truth to their faces.

“The joy is that we have an alternative. For a long time now, there has never been the third force in our elections, we have not had the privilege of having the man in the middle”.

Protest Rocks PDP National Secretariat As Wike-led Faction Takes Over

A protest erupted on Monday at the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, Wadata Plaza in Abuja, as supporters of the factional acting National Chairman of the party, Mohammed Abdulrahman, stormed the premises.

The group, chanting solidarity songs, demanded that the National Working Committee, led by Umar Damagum, vacate the headquarters immediately.

Abdulrahman was named the acting national chairman of the party last week as the leadership crisis threatening the soul of the party worsened with the suspension of the party’s National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and the Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, for a period of one month.

Security operatives have been deployed to the area to prevent a breakdown of law and order as both factions struggle for control of the party’s edifice.

However, the faction of the party’s NWC led by Abdulrahman has taken control of the party’s National Chairman’s office.

Why We Suspended Anyanwu, Bature, Others – PDP

Published

on

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has disclosed why its National Working Committee, NWC, suspended the National Secretary and the National Organizing Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu and Umar Bature respectively.

The NWC-PDP on Saturday suspended Anyanwu, Bature, Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade and Deputy Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha for one month following a court ruling that halted the party’s planned national convention.

The NWC-PDP was said to have issued a formal warning letter on September 30, 2025 to Anyanwu and Bature.

The warning letter reportedly cited allegations of misconduct, including unauthorized communications, anti-party activities and actions that undermined party unity and protocols.

The letter was also said to serve as a final caution to Anyanwu and Bature, urging immediate compliance with NWC directives to avert further disciplinary measures.
