7th-year Anniversary: High Chief Akpofagha Extols Pere Of Furupagha

High Chief (Engr.) Pascal Ebi Akpofagha, has extolled the Traditional Ruler of Furupagha kingdom, in Ovia Southwest and Odigbo LGAs of Edo and Ondo states, His Royal Majesty, Pere Roman Bohan, the Atunkpokubu for his exemplary leadership and peaceful reign even as he celebrates 7 years on the throne of his forefathers.

High Chief Akpofagha, in a congratulatory statement exclusively made available to INFO DAILY, described the king as father who has worked tirelessly for the unity and progress of the kingdom.

According to the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Furupagha, the enthronement of Pere Bohan was not a mistake but devine, adding that it was ordained by God Amighty and gods of the land and the entire Ijaw nation by extension.

“You’re a king with an exemplary leadership. No doubt, your seven years reign has been peaceful and impactful. Your tireless move to make sure everyone live in oneness and unity in the kingdom cannot be over-emphasised. You are a father to all. Congratulations Atunkpokubu“, Engineer Akpofagha added.

While praying God to grant HRM long life to reign and lead his subjects aright, High Chief Akpofagha urged all sons and daughters of Furupagha kingdom to rally around the king and stay away from all sorts of negative vices.

He said, “It is necessary all sons and daughters of Furupagha kingdom make rallying round the king a point of duty and stay away from any form of negative vices that will not promote the kingdom and Ijaw nation at large.”

He also prayed God to grant the Pere more wisdom like Solomon, so that he will be able to lead the kingdom to it promise land and be where it ought to be in the committee of kingdoms in the Ijaw nation and Nigeria at large.

Xenophobic Attacks: Nigerian Students To Picket MTN, MultiChoice, Other Businesses

The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS South-West Zone D, has announced plans to picket South African companies in Nigeria following the ongoing xenophobic attacks in the country.

DAILY POST reports that some Nigerians were recently killed in South Africa over the violent attacks.

A statement issued to newsmen by Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode, Coordinator, NANS South-West, Zone D, said that the association is mobilizing to take decisive and lawful action by organizing peaceful picketing and mass advocacy against South African business interests operating in Nigeria.

“We categorically state that the continued targeting of Nigerians under any guise is unacceptable and must come to an immediate end.

N5m, N10m Zero-interest Loans: SheVentures Opens Applications For Women Entrepreneurs

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has opened a new round of applications for its SheVentures proposition, offering zero-interest loans of up to ₦10 million to women entrepreneurs to ease access to working capital and support business growth.

The facility provides loans ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦5 million under a general category, and ₦5 million to ₦10 million for sector-specific businesses, with funding capped at up to 50% of an applicant’s average monthly turnover.

At the centre of the offering is a 0% interest rate, with all charges embedded in a transparent structure.

Repayment is structured over four or six months, allowing businesses to match obligations with their cash flow cycles.

Yemisi Edun, Managing Director and Chief Executive of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), said the initiative reflects a deliberate approach to inclusive growth.
