Edo Reps Member Not Distracted By Sponsored Writeups, Says Aide

Mr. Abdulganiyu, media aide to Mr Johnson Oghuma, member representing Etsako federal constituency at House of Representives, has said his principal remained focused on enthronement of democratic dividends in the federal constituency.
Abdulganiyu, who made this assertion on behalf of his principal said he would not be distracted on onerous task even in the face of sponsored writeups being peddled on social media by political distractors and merchants.
He stressed that those who are afraid of his modest achievements as a lawmaker should be ready to present themselves before the people rather than engaging in campaign of columny against him.
Oghuma maintained that members of his constituent are testament to the fact of his projects that are spread across the 32 Wards that make up the federal constituency.
“Aside these projects, I have been able to empower hundreds of people with different programmes and also provided those we have trained on with starters packs.
“It may interest these political distrarctors to know that I have sponsored different bills that will enhance and uplift the standard of living of the people as well as impact positively on our communities.
“Among these bills is that to upgrade and convert Auchi Polytechnic to a University,” he stated.
Oghuma however noted that these achievements would not have been possible without the support of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the State and members of his constituent.

“Rather than join me in moving Etsako federal constituency forward, the political jobbers are engaged in campaign of falsehood to sway the peoples opinions against me.
“It is however not surprising that they are coming out like this, it is expected and I know they will come forcefully because 2023 elections is almost here.
“But let me advice them that the people know the pretenders from the serious minded people; they will not be dissuaded by those who comes once a every four years to throw peanut at them and disappear once they didn’t have their way.
“The people are a lot wiser now and are not ready for any gamble, not even from these political jobbers,” he posited.

The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State cancelling an employment process undertaken by his (Wike’s) administration which engaged 10,000 youths of the state.
Wike made this allegation on Wednesday at Ahoada main Town, during the ‘Renewed Hope Family thank you visit’ to Ahoada East Local Government Area.
He said his administration had employed 10,000 youths into different sectors of the state’s economy, but regretted that Fubara, his successor, sacked the beneficiaries.

He slammed Fubara for claiming the construction of Ahoada-Omoku and Emohua-Kalabari Road, which he said he had made 70 percent payment before handing over, describing the governor as “a bad child”.
“When I decided to dualise this Ahoada road, people thought it was impossible. But by the grace of God, today, Ahoada East, Ahoada Town, is coming back to be the city it is supposed to be. When I was a narcissist, I finished phase one of this dualisation.

“Then I flagged off phase two, which would end up in Omoku. The job was given the same day as the one of Emohua to the Kalabari area.
“I gave it to Julius Berger and we signed an agreement for Julius Berger to collect N4 billion every month from our IGR. The total amount of that road, and the one from Emohua to the Kalabari area, was about N80 something billion. So I said, if they collect four billion every month, that would give them 48 billion. That in two years time, they would have completed,” Wike said.
