Some Nigerians have taken to social media to react to Asisat Oshoala’s shirtless celebration in Nigeria’s 3-2 win over co-hostsAustralia on Thursday.

The Barcelona Femeni forward came on as a substitute to replace one of the goalscorers, Uchenna Kanu, in the 64th minute.

The 29-year-old capitalized on a defensive slip to give Nigeria a two-goal advantage in the 72nd minute. Oshoala slotted the ball into an empty net after Australia’s defender Kennedy headed the ball past the goalkeeper, who was out of her line.

@FemiAyo593554, “The whole of Nigeria Team.. on fire. Osayi so solid like it’s onyemeachi.. Bassey and Semi Ajayi so solid and compose. Bruno the crosser, Ndidi, Iwobi the passer, onyeka the tank . Lookman, Akor the dreadful one, Oshimen the great.. Kudos to Marhez for saying “I AM AFRAID”.

@harrysone9 “NFF cost Nigerians the joy and place in the World Cup, but thank God they got the appointment of Eric Chelle right. So far so good; the Super Eagles have been a joy to watch.
Nigeria has a better chance of winning the AFCON than Arsenal has of winning the EPL under Mikel Arteta.”
