PAP Boss, Otuaro, Showers Encomium On Tompolo On His Birthday

The administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr Dennis Otuaro, has felicitated with the chairman of TANTITA Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, on the occasion of his 54th birthday.

In a statement by his media aide, Mr Igoniko Oduma, Otuaro described Tompolo as a humble, selfless and exceptional leader whose entire life had been dedicated to the defence, emancipation and the development of the Ijaw land and indeed the Niger Delta region.

He noted that as a foremost freedom fighter, Tompolo’s sacrifices and contributions to the socio-economic advancement and political growth of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta region are not only monumental but tremendous and unquantifiable.

Otuaro described the Izon-Ebi Dou Keme of Ijaw nation as a philanthropist, pillar of support for community development and a beacon of hope to many youths.

He stressed that Tompolo has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the peace, progress, unity and stability of the Niger Delta.

The PAP helmsman expressed appreciation to Tompolo for his significant contributions to national development through the efficient operations of TANTITA in safeguarding strategic crude oil pipelines, resulting in unprecedented increases in oil revenues for the shared prosperity of the country.

He further noted that Tompolo, through his security firm, has empowered over 40,000 Niger Delta youths by engaging them meaningfully, while also transforming the lives of several others with scholarships for their education and other viable ventures for a better future.

Otuaro said the TANTITA boss is also an inspiration to many with his strong and unapologetic belief in Ijaw tradition and cultural heritage, noting that it has continued to strengthen his spiritual focus and wellbeing.

He encouraged Tomplou to remain steadfast in his selfless service to Ijaw land, the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole, while also upholding his convictions and philanthropic activities for the society and humanity.

Otuaro wished Tompolo well on the auspicious occasion of his birthday, and prayed to God to give him the enablement to achieve more goals and further accomplishments.

Xenophobic Attacks: Nigerian Students To Picket MTN, MultiChoice, Other Businesses

The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS South-West Zone D, has announced plans to picket South African companies in Nigeria following the ongoing xenophobic attacks in the country.

DAILY POST reports that some Nigerians were recently killed in South Africa over the violent attacks.

A statement issued to newsmen by Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode, Coordinator, NANS South-West, Zone D, said that the association is mobilizing to take decisive and lawful action by organizing peaceful picketing and mass advocacy against South African business interests operating in Nigeria.

“We categorically state that the continued targeting of Nigerians under any guise is unacceptable and must come to an immediate end.

N5m, N10m Zero-interest Loans: SheVentures Opens Applications For Women Entrepreneurs

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has opened a new round of applications for its SheVentures proposition, offering zero-interest loans of up to ₦10 million to women entrepreneurs to ease access to working capital and support business growth.

The facility provides loans ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦5 million under a general category, and ₦5 million to ₦10 million for sector-specific businesses, with funding capped at up to 50% of an applicant’s average monthly turnover.

At the centre of the offering is a 0% interest rate, with all charges embedded in a transparent structure.

Repayment is structured over four or six months, allowing businesses to match obligations with their cash flow cycles.

Yemisi Edun, Managing Director and Chief Executive of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), said the initiative reflects a deliberate approach to inclusive growth.
