Poem: Lord, Please Bless Ebi, Preserve Him

Published

on

Lord, please bless Ebi, preserve him.
Bless him, protect him,
Let him enjoy the fruit of his labour.
Evil hands that rise against him, paralyzed let them be, Lord.
Blindfold evil eyes after him.
He is watering the younger ones,
Watered let him be, providence.

Lord, please bless Ebi, preserve him
Keep him away from the wicked once.
A kind hearted man, he is such.
A benevolent heart – exemplified.
Raising the younger ones, craved he for,
Their success, derives he joy.

Lord, please bless Ebi, preserve him.
July, 2018 called him me,
What does it takes you to stand,
Enquired him.
You have all what it takes to excel in this regard, admonished him me
Words me muttered,
Scared of the unknown.
The connections, links, have I not.
Ebi assured me of all these, though
I was waiting, waiting patiently to that which is not forthcoming.
Aloof I became.

High Chief (Engr.) Pascal Ebi Akpofagha

Lord, please bless Ebi, preserve him.
After much aloofness, here came I,
Sequel to the enquires of 2018.
One after the other, we shall take the steps, said he.
According to his words, did he.
A man of integrity, impeccable character!

Lord, please bless Ebi, preserve him.
He that find a good wife, find a good thing, obtained favour from the Lord, says the holy book
This is Ebi’s portion.
He has find a good thing, obtained favour from the Lord
Tombra is a virtuous woman!
Say her no to his benevolent act,
Helpless he may become.
Show me a successful man,
I will show you a praying, successful woman behind him.
Tombra is a God sent.
Her making trouble, heard I not. Always smiling.

Tombra Akpofagha (Mrs.) The Beautiful, Praying Woman Behind The Scene

Lord, please bless Ebi, preserve him.
He is working to raise the younger ones,
Raise him, Lord.
He is a High Chief, higher let him go
Ebi is his name, let ‘ebi’ u la.
He is Ibe-Ebidouwei, let ebi u dou ẹrí
He desires, deserves more higher places in his endeavours,
Take him to the peak he desires.

Lord, please bless Ebi, preserve him.
Seeds you’ve given him, keep them for him.
Let them be a source of joy as it has been,
Not cause for sorry.
They are little ones, that virtually know nothing,
Keep them under Your canopy.
In Your wisdom and knowledge, let them grow.

Lord, please bless Ebi, preserve him
The Zerubbabel of Ebi’s hands has started this in my life,
Complete let it be, Lord.
Every mountain against completion of this,
Plain let it be.
So a grateful heart will be more grateful.

Lord, please bless Ebi, preserve him.
In the same vein, a grateful heart says,
Lord bless Ebi, bless him, bless him the more and protect him, his household.

The Lagos State Special Offences (Mobile) Court sitting at Bolade, Oshodi on Monday, 27 March, 2023 sentenced a fake Lagos State Traffic Management Authority Officer, Omotutu Bamidele, to a 2- year jail term for impersonating and extorting money from motorists across Lagos.

The convicted fake LASTMA officer was arraigned by LASTMA on a 2-count charge of impersonating as a public officer by claiming to be a staff of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (S.78 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015)” and obtaining money by fraudulent trick (Sec. 323 of the Criminal Law, Lagos State) before the court.

The PUNCH reports that Bamidele was arrested a few days ago on Olu Holloway Road, around the Alfred Rewane area of Ikoyi by a LASTMA Monitoring/Surveillance team led by the Zonal Head, Ashafa Moyosore.

In a press statement released by the Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA, Mr. Adebayo Taofiq said Magistrate Kehinde Ogundare sentenced Omotutu Bamidele to a 2-year jail term without any option of fine after he pleaded guilty to the 2- count charges levelled against him.

Magistrate Ogundare emphasized that the convict should serve the jail term without any option fine due to the gravity of the offences committed.

The Court Prosecutor Barr. Olufemi Adekunle stated that both offences levied against the convict contravened Criminal Law of Lagos State (2015).

In his reaction to the judgement, the General Manager of LASTMA Mr Bolaji Oreagba said the judgement was a welcome development as it would serve as a deterrent to others who are still extorting money from innocent members of the public under false pretence.

Oreagba also noted that the “Our (LASTMA) Monitoring and Surveillance Unit which has now been fully restructured would continue to hunt for other bad elements disturbing the peace of the society”

“The training focuses on influencing the actions, programmes and policies of the International Oil Companies (IOCs) and governments toward environmentally friendly interventions, fulfilling the agreement for the protection of the earth, people and planets.”

Taking the participants on environmental monitoring tools, Cadmus Atake-Enade, said the devices were effective for mitigating the danger of fossil-fuel extraction in the local communities.
