Sound Of Freedom: Jim Caviezel’s Anti-child-trafficking Film Hits Nigeria

Fans of Jim Caviezel, whose spectacular portrayal of Jesus Christ in the film, The Passion of the Christ is set for great times in cinemas across Nigeria and Ghana, as his latest work, ‘Sound of Freedom’ is scheduled to hit the big screens as from August 18, 2023.

‘Sound of Freedom’, which is fast becoming an advocacy performance for Jim Caviezel and other members of the cast against the nefarious trade in children across the world, has Caviezel playing Tim Ballard, a former US government agent who embarks on a mission to rescue children from sex traffickers in Colombia.

The plot centers around Ballard’s Operation Underground Railroad, an anti-s*x trafficking organisation.

Directed by Alejandro Monteverde and produced by Lukas Behnken and Eduardo Verástegui, the film features star actors like Bill Camp Yessica Borroto Perryman, Eduardo Verastegui, Cristal Aparicio, and Javier Godino amongst others.

Incredible things are happening to children all over the world despite their innocence. Everyone must rise against child trafficking and seeing this film better prepares all of us for that task. Borrowing Jim Cavaziel’s words in his post on Instagram, God’s children are not for sale”, says Joy Odiete, the chief executive officer of the distribution company in West Africa, Blue Pictures Entertainment.

Burna Boy Gifts Tony Tetuila Briefcase Full Of Cash

Veteran Nigerian singer, Tony Tetuila, has received a briefcase of cash after an encounter with the self-acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy, at a popular nightclub.

The chance meeting between the two musicians occurred recently at a vibrant hotspot in Lagos, where Burna Boy reportedly gifted Tetuila with a sum of millions of naira.

In a video circulated online, Tetuila was captured on stage, performing one of his hit singles, ‘E Go Better,’ surrounded by a scatter of $100 bills intermixed with bundles of N500 notes.

Amidst his performance, Tetuila momentarily paused the show to acknowledge the presence of Burna Boy, showering him with accolades as the “Giant of Africa,” much to the delight of the audience.

Impressed by Tetuila’s acknowledgement, Burna Boy reciprocated the gesture by rising from his seat, a subtle nod of gratitude to the veteran singer.

Following the exchange of mutual respect, Burna Boy took the gesture a step further by dispatching a custom-designed briefcase, brimming with bundles of N500 notes, symbolising his appreciation for Tetuila’s homage.

Tony Tetuila had in February, this year, hinted at working with Afrobeats star, Burna Boy, on the remix of his hit song, My Car.

‘My Car’ was a hit song released by Tetuila in 2001. The song went on to make waves nationwide.

In an interview with Daddy Freeze, Tetuila said he would like to feature the Grammy-winning singer on the remix of the hit song.

Davido Hints On Quitting Music

Nigerian afrobeats singer David Adeleke, aka Davido, has hinted at quitting music.

The ‘Unavailable’ crooner said he would quit music after his next album.

Davido disclosed this on Thursday night while reacting to the recent pictures and videos doctored against him by some blogs.

He claimed that some persons desperately want him out of the music industry.

“Yall niggas really want me out the game that bad ?? Oya after next album I no do again . So una fit get peace,” he wrote on his X handle.
