Nigerian superstar WizKid’s ‘Made In Lagos,’ has broken record as the US Best-Selling African Album, after reaching an impressive 680,000 sales milestone.

The album also exceeded expectations in terms of streaming, accumulating over 1.02 billion on-demand streams in the USA alone.

This development further reaffirmed WizKid’s place as a global music icon and the growing influence of Nigerian rap music on the global space.

Big Brother Naija All Stars edition has entered its ultimate week with six finalists set to have a go at the N120m grand prize.

The finalists for this season’s edition include: Ilebaye, Mercy, Cee C, Cross, Adekunle and Pere.

During the Sunday live eviction show, Venita, Soma and Angel were the housemates evicted to leave the show with its finalists from which the winner of the edition would emerge.

Recall the show started with 20 housemates and later saw 4 new housemates joining them.

Housemates Venita Akpofure, Soma and Angel have been evicted from the Big Brother Naija All Stars edition.

The show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced the eviction on Sunday.

Housemates up for possible eviction for the week were: Adekunle, Pere, Venita, Soma and Angel.

Pere and Adekunle managed to scale through as they joined CeeC, Mercy, Ilebaye and Cross who had already been confirmed as finalists for this year’s edition.

Nollywood actor, singer-songwriter and filmmaker, Charles Granville, has passed away.

According to a statement by the family, the ‘Tinsel’ actor died “after a protracted illness on Thursday the 21st of September, 2023.”

The statement signed by a family member, Iyenemri Somiari Granville, added that “funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.”

Until his death, Granville chaired the Advisory Committee on Arts and Entertainment.
