Transfer: Chelsea Offered Opportunity To Resign Former Player From AC Milan

Chelsea have been offered an opportunity to re-sign their former defender, Fikayo Tomori from AC Milan.

The deal could be completed in the ongoing transfer window, according to a report by CFCPys.

However, this deal would depend on the possible sale of center-back Axel Disasi.

The England defender left Chelsea for AC Milan for a reported €35.30 million in July 2021.

Tomori has since then proven to be an important defender at San Siro, scoring eight goal contributions in 157 appearances.

The centre-back has made 15 appearances across all competitions for the Italian giants this season.

In nine Serie A games, he has registered 16 clearances and won 25 out of 43 ground duels contested, according to FootyStats.

He could also be used as a makeshift right-back, given Reece James’ fitness concerns.

According to the report, while Juventus are interested in signing the defender, Chelsea would also have to offload Disasi.

Disasi is contracted at the west London side until June 2029, meaning his possible sale could be difficult, while Tomori is contracted at AC Milan till June 2027.

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen has shared a heartfelt message to the team’s fans around the globe following Nigeria’s 2-0 triumph against Algeria in the AFCON quarter-finals on Saturday.

Osimhen contributed to the win with a goal, while Akor Adams also found the back of the net, securing Nigeria’s progression to last-4 stage.

Nigeria have qualified for the semi-final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Super Eagles pulled off a stunning display to beat Algeria 2-0 in their quarter-final clash on Saturday evening, to book their spot.

Eric Chelle’s men dominated the Desert Foxes for most of the first half, but failed to find the back of the net.

The closest Nigeria came to opening the scoring, came when Calvin Bassey’s effort was cleared off the line.

But in the second half, Victor Osimhen headed in Bruno Onyemaechi’s cross, before setting up Akor Adams for the second goal.

The three-time African champions will now clash with the hosts Morocco for a place in the final.

Some Nigerian football fans have reacted to Super Eagles’ 2-0 win against Algeria in the AFCON quarter-final tie on Saturday.

DAILY POST reports that goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams ensured Nigeria defeated the Desert Foxes.

Reacting, some Nigerians wondered how come the Super Eagles failed to qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup following their brilliant display against Algeria.
