UNIBEN Refutes Media Reports, Says Former Emir of Kano Remains Chancellor

The University of Benin (UNIBEN), Tuesday, refuted the report making the rounds that the University’s Chancellor, Muhammadu Sanusi II, the former Emir of Kano portraits have been removed in strategic places of the institution.

Recall It was reported earlier (not Info Daily) that Sanusi’s portraits that were hitherto displayed were nowhere to be found unlike those of others before him.

However, In a rejoinder signed by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Benedicta Ehanire, said that Muhammadu Sanusi II remains the University’s Chancellor.

She added that as a result, the University still has portraits of Muhammadu Sanusi II on display across the University campus, just as she added that it was false to report that “Mallam Sanusi’s pictures have been moved from strategic places”.
