Nigerian-born Amanda Azubuike has shared her story about her journey to becoming a Brigadier General in the US Army.

She revealed how her family and faith in God played vital roles in her career.

She recalled how her parents passed away six years ago, saying it would have been a proud day for them.

Amanda Azubuike, a senior officer in the US Army, was recently promoted to the Brigadier General rank.

Amanda’s father and mother hail from Nigeria and Zimbabwe, respectively.

She was born in London, United Kingdom, and joined the military in 1994 and later became an aviator after passing the Army Aviation Officer Basic Course.

“My parents passed away in the last six years, this would have been a proud day for them. But I want to acknowledge my family members who were able to come and travel to be with me here today. Thank you all for coming and sharing this day with me.

“I have said before that you can learn alot about someone by their journey. So today I am going to share a little bit about my journey and how I got here, because I really never thought I would be here today. I believe my journey is a true testament to my family, my faith in God and also this great country that we live in. I think it is what my mother dreamt of when she left and decided to immigrate to this country years ago.

“I joined the US army even before I became a citizen, and I always knew this country was great, that it was worth fighting for. I am very proud of my heritage, my ethnic roots, we are proud to be an American,” she said.

Joe Marinelli, popular American actor, known for his roles in ‘The Morning Show’ and other television series, is dead.

Joe Marinelli reportedly died last Sunday at age 68 after a long battle with throat and stomach cancer.

The actor’s wife, Jean Marinelli, confirmed his passage to The Hollywood Reporter.

Reacting to his death, the actor’s colleague, Mark Duplass who worked with the deceased on ‘The Morning Show’, said.

Judge In Maradona Negligence Case Resigns Amid Scandal

The Argentine judge who caused the collapse of a trial over the 2020 death of football legend Diego Maradona has resigned, her lawyer said Tuesday.

Julieta Makintach’s involvement in a clandestine documentary about the trial of Maradona’s medical team led to the proceedings being scrapped in May after two months of hearings.

No date has yet been set for a new trial.

I have the honor of addressing you in my capacity as judge (…)in order to submit my resignation from my position,” Makintach wrote in a letter to the governor of Buenos Aires that was shared by her lawyer.

Makintach was facing impeachment proceedings over her participation in the documentary about the case against seven medical staff accused of manslaughter over Maradona’s death.

Maradona — considered one of the world’s greatest ever players — died in November 2020 at the age of 60 while recovering from brain surgery.

He died of heart failure and acute pulmonary edema — a condition where fluid accumulates in the lungs — two weeks after going under the knife.

Prosecutor say the conditions of his home convalescence were grossly negligent.

Netanyahu Vows To Thwart ‘Any Attempt’ By Iran To Rebuild Nuclear Programme

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed Tuesday to crush any attempt by Iran to rebuild its nuclear programme in a national address to the country after 12 days of war.

Iran will not have a nuclear weapon,” Netanyahu said after a ceasefire put a halt to airstrikes by the two countries against each other.
