Wizkid Tops Africa’s Spotify Earnings With $1 million Monthly Revenue

Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has emerged as Africa’s highest-earning artiste on Spotify, cementing his position as one of the continent’s most influential musicians.

According to music statistics platform Chart Masters, Wizkid rakes in an impressive $1 million monthly from Spotify, placing him at the top of Africa’s earners on the platform.

The list, which features the top ten highest earners from Africa, underscores the dominance of Nigerian artistes in the global music scene.

Wizkid leads the pack, followed by Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, who earns $782,148, and Tems, with $660,210. South Africa’s Tyla is the only non-Nigerian on the list, earning $607,804 and placing fourth.

Afrobeats singer, Davido, temporarily banned his friends from smoking at his wedding over the weekend out of respect for his father, Dr Adedeji Adeleke.

The clip making the rounds on social media has earned Davido praises, with many hailing him for being respectful.

“My daddy is coming, if you’re smoking off it,” Davido was heard saying to his groomsmen that includes his cousin, B-Red, singer Zlatan Ibile and others.

VeryDarkMan Reacts To Visions Of His Death

Popular Nigerian activist, VeryDarkMan, has reacted to the revelations of his demise by prophets.

Two prophets from Nigeria and Ghana had given revelations about VeryDarkMan’s death.

One of the unidentified prophets, in a video while addressing his congregation, said in Yoruba: “There are activists in this country that they will soon end in Nigeria. One of the activists will be imprisoned. The other one will be killed because they said they have nothing to lose.”

The second prophet said: “This is for VDM. Bad politicians have taken him to a river. VDM is dead in the river but still alive in the physical world. And it’s very bad for your face to be inside a river. Whether VDM likes it or not, he will leave the world unexpectedly.”

Reacting to the videos in a post shared on his Instagram page on Sunday, VeryDarkMan, also known as VDM, stated that death is inevitable.

He further asked the prophets to see a vision about how Nigeria will be great.

You heard the pastor, although he didn’t mention my name, but he made reference to what I usually say, which is I have nothing to lose. That’s number one.

“You are seeing vision for me as if I’m one person that sees himself to be important. I’m not important. Death is inevitable and is coming for all of us. Tell us a vision about our country. Tell us when Nigeria will be a great country.”

Former American baseball player, David Justice has revealed why he divorced his ex-wife, actress Halle Berry.

Speaking in a recent episode of the ‘All the Smoke’ podcast with co-host Matt Barnes, Justice explained that he left Berry because she doesn’t do house chores and lacks motherly instincts.

I’m looking at my mom, I’m a Midwest guy. So in my mind, I’m thinking a wife at that time should cook, clean, and I’m thinking OK, if we have kids, is this the woman I want to have kids with and build a family with? And at that time, as a young guy, she don’t cook, don’t clean, don’t really seem like motherly,” he stated.

Justice said that the marriage could have been saved if he had known about therapy.

He explained that he was young and naive then and had only been in one relationship before his marriage to Berry.

He, however, maintained that he is not to be blamed for the divorce, adding that the movie star was “dead wrong” for making the world believe he was the problem in their failed marriage.

Justice married Berry on New Year’s Day 1993, but they divorced on June 20, 1997.

He has since been married to wife Rebecca Justice for 24 years, the mother of his two kids.

Berry is in a long-term relationship with Van Hunt. Previously, she was married to Oliver Martinez (2013 to 2016) and Eric Benet (2001 to 2005). She has two kids: Nahla, 17, whose dad is Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo, 11, with Martinez.
