Wizkid Tops Africa’s Spotify Earnings With $1 million Monthly Revenue

Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has emerged as Africa’s highest-earning artiste on Spotify, cementing his position as one of the continent’s most influential musicians.

According to music statistics platform Chart Masters, Wizkid rakes in an impressive $1 million monthly from Spotify, placing him at the top of Africa’s earners on the platform.

The list, which features the top ten highest earners from Africa, underscores the dominance of Nigerian artistes in the global music scene.

Wizkid leads the pack, followed by Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, who earns $782,148, and Tems, with $660,210. South Africa’s Tyla is the only non-Nigerian on the list, earning $607,804 and placing fourth.

Popular Singer Hamisu Breaker, TikToker G. Fresh Sentenced To Prison For Naira Abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned both popular singer Hamisu Breaker, and TikTok star Abubakar Ibrahim, before the Federal High Court presided over by Justice Sale Musa Shuaibu on charges of abuse of Naira in Kano.

After the charges were read, both Hamisu Breaker and G fresh pleaded guilty. The court then sentenced them to five months imprisonment or a fine of ₦200,000.

Breaker was found guilty of spraying ₦200 denomination notes totaling about ₦30,000 at a party in Hadejia, Jigawa State.

Similarly, G. Fresh, was found guilty of spraying bundles of ₦1,000 notes at a shop opening celebration of in Tarauni area of Kano state.

Nigeria Police Fighting Against Justice – Scott Iguma Speaks On Travails [VIDEO]

Social media personality and activist, Scott Iguma, has accused the Nigeria Police of working against the country’s justice system.

This is coming three days after he was granted bail.

DAILY POST reports that Iguma was arrested and remanded in prison by a Lagos State High Court after calling out a real estate company, PWAN, for allegedly scamming customers.

He was however granted a N10 million bail on Monday.

Speaking in a new video shared on Thursday to appreciate the public for standing up for him, Scott Iguma accused the police of being a tool used to oppress innocent citizens.

Narrating his travails, he stated that the police are not loyal to the Nigeria constitution.

With my experience with the Nigeria Police, it’s quite so sad. What I can say with my experience with the police is that they are not loyal to the country Nigeria, they are not loyal to the law of Nigeria, to justice. All they are loyal to is money.

“With my experience, I can say that the Nigeria Police are currently the one fighting against justice. They are not fighting against injustice. The Nigerian police are so cheap that you can bribe them with a bottle of coke, and they will help you convict an innocent man for murder. With what I saw, and what they did to me, is so sad.”

VIDEO: VeryDarkMan Fires Back At Portable In Latest Diss Track

Popular social media activist Vincent Otse Martins, also known as VeryDarkMan, has released a new diss track targeting street-hop singer Portable, escalating their ongoing feud.

In the clip posted on his Instagram page, the social media activist was seen delivering biting lines in multiple languages, accusing Portable of theft and referencing past controversies.

The feud began when VeryDarkMan urged President Bola Tinubu to address Nigeria’s economic crisis and deadly attacks in Benue State.

Portable responded with a diss track, launching personal attacks on VeryDarkMan, including allegations about his sexuality.

The social media activist has now fired back with a second part to his response, incorporating old clips of Portable’s police run-ins and past controversies into the visuals for the track.
