Police In Edo Rescue Kidnapped Senior Officer

Respite came the way of the Police Command in Edo as the Assistant Superintendent of Police in the State Investigation Bureau, ASP Clement Amoko, who was kidnapped in the early hours of Sunday has been rescued.

The rescue operation was carried out by men of the Edo State Police command’s various tactical and strike forces.

Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Princewill Osaigbovo while confirming Amoko’s rescue on Monday said he is receiving treatment in the hospital due to beating he received in the hand of his abductors.

“I can tell you that he has been released and he is receiving treatment while he has also reunited with his family,” he said.

ASP Amoko, who was rescued is said to be receiving treatment due to the beating he received from his abductors while he has also reunited with his family.

It was gathered that since his abduction’s news became public, policemen have been out to ensure he is release unhurt.

It is recalled that Amoko was kidnapped by some gunmen in his residence at Ogida quarters in Benin City on Sunday morning
