…Says He Is Yet To Receive Any Message
In an apparent reaction to the congratulatory messages credited the governorship candidate of the APC in the September 19 gubernatorial election in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-iyamu and former national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Governor Godwin Obaseki of the state says a sincere and honest congratulary message of such should not be sent via social media.
Obaseki, who spoke to journalists after he was received by a mammoth crowd of supporters at the Benin Airport, said sending such messages through the social media was not formal and not acceptable.
The Governor who later addressed his supporters in Pidgin English at the King’s Squre (Ring Road), Benin said the so much talked about messages from his political opponents have not been received by him but only flying on social media.
He added that they should have printed them on their letter-head papers, with their signatures on them, rather than posting it on the internet.
He noted that Edo would never fall for such cheap messages packaged as congratulatory letters. He added: TheAPC in Abuja is being run just like what they did in Edo when they were in power.
“It is clear that there is problem in Nigeria. The country has money but until we change our mindset that tax payers money must be used for the people and not for very few, the country will continue to wallow in crises.
“We have to pray that what happened in Edo will not happen in Abuja. The only party that has the right people for the job is the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in 2023.F Forwardever, backward never, Edo must move forward,” he added.
