If the appellation EDOBEST is to be attached to personalities in Edo State, one of such will be Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo. He is a man as frank as it can and also as benevolent as it can be .
There is an African Proverb that says a real wealthy man is rated by the comfort of those around him and not by the yams in his barn. It is love that rules.
So it was Margaret Thatcher former British Prime Minister that said :
The Good Samaritan would never have been known, if he had only good intentions, he became known because he had money backing up his good intentions.
So it is, for Captain Hosa Wells Okunbo aptly dubbed the Captain of the Air, Land and Sea for his successes in businesses spanning from the maritime, aviation and to the manuafacturing sectors of the world economy.
It was therefore not a surprise, that Captain Hosa Wells Okunbo, was deservedly awarded the prestigious and esteemed Forbes’ “Best of Africa”, award recently which honours outstanding leaders in Africa.
The award was presented to him by the Chairman of Foreign Investment Network (FIN), Mrs. Olayinka Fayomi at the Exquisite and Ritz Wells Calrton Hotel.
The award has essentially put a global imprimatur on the activities of Captain Hosa which has been well acclaimed far and wide as one which exudes peace, progress and prosperity .
This fact was adumbrated at the presentation of the awards, when Mrs. Fayomi referring to Captain Hosa posited thus : “The certificate of award is from Forbes America,” stressing, “I always like to distinguish Forbes Africa from Forbes America.”
Mrs. Fayemi continues, “Indeed, you are more than deserving of this award, and I am sure all of you have watched the event today. I am very proud to associate with you. I am really happy about the success you have made. You are an illustrious son of Edo State. You have made not only your state proud, but you have also made your country proud.
The accolades above are garlands of honour well deserved and accorded to Captain Hosa based on a painstaking interrogation of the llife trajectories of the awardee, judging from the unassailable credibility of the group..
Captain Hosa has worked very hard and attained success in all spheres of life. He has also shown the applicability of the utilitarian principle in all his activities, to wit: ensuring the greater happiness to a greater number of people.
Focusing on this anology ,it was Zick Zigler that said: “You might think money is not important, but I tell you, it ranks reasonably close to oxygen.
Captain Hosa Wells Okunbo has wished and worked for the best for city, state and country. An avid promoter of the well revered customs and tradition of the great Benin kingdom, superinteded over by the Omo N’ Oba, N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin. Captain Hosa Wells Okunbo has indeed imprinted his foot prints in the sands of times as one of the real Edo Best .
Congratulations to you sir !The Best is yet to come!
