The announcement was made during a media parley held on Thursday at the Edo State Sports Commission’s media centre in Benin City.

He emphasized that His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, is deeply passionate about identifying and nurturing young talents across the state.
“The governor specifically mandated that communities within Edo State be actively engaged in discovering raw talents, and that structured tournaments should be organized to provide platforms for them to compete at local, national, and international levels,” Enabulele stated.
He further underscored the strategic importance of focusing on the Under-13 age category.
“When we talk about Under-13, we are deliberate about ‘Catching Them Young.’ This tournament aligns perfectly with the Governor’s vision for sports development in Edo State,” he said, adding that the Commission is fully prepared to support the initiative with facilities and any other required resources.
Speaking on behalf of the tournament’s organizers, Mr. Osaro Onaghise lauded Enabulele’s leadership, particularly in the progress made with Bendel Insurance FC and broader sports development across the state.
He revealed that his younger brother, Bright Osayi, is currently in discussions with international football stakeholders in Turkey and the United Kingdom to establish a world-class football academy in Edo State.
The event concluded with the presentation of branded jerseys from Bright Osayi to Governor Monday Okpebholo, Deputy Governor Hon. Dennis Idahosa, and Enabulele, symbolizing the footballer’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment through sports.

Chelsea are reportedly planning a major squad overhaul this summer, with as many as 10 players facing the exit door, according to The Athletic.
Among those who could be sold are Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson, and Christopher Nkunku, as the club aims to raise funds for new signings and streamline their squad ahead of the new season.
Also on the list of potential departures are Djordje Petrovic, Armando Broja, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Raheem Sterling, Carney Chukwuemeka, and newly signed Renato Veiga.

Many of these Chelsea players spent last season out on loan and may now be moved on permanently.
The club’s transfer strategy is geared towards meeting key summer objectives, with player sales expected to provide the financial muscle needed to reinforce specific areas of the squad.
Chelsea have already made moves in the transfer market, including the €35.5 million acquisition of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town.

His arrival could push Jackson further down the pecking order, with the striker now being considered for a potential sale.
One of the top targets for the Blues is Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who is seen as a potential replacement for Madueke on the wing.
While Chelsea are keen to trim their squad and raise funds, the departures of Jackson, Madueke, and Nkunku will largely depend on the calibre of offers they receive from interested clubs.
As the Blues prepare for a demanding new season, the coming weeks could see a flurry of transfer activity at Stamford Bridge.

Neymar, 33, extended his contract with Brazilian side Santos to the end of the year this week.
Neymar’s career has been dogged by injury, and he has only played 12 matches in five months for Santos, scoring three goals.
Brazil’s top scorer with 79 goals was missing from Ancelotti’s first squad at the end of May.
With Neymar absent five-time world champions Brazil qualified for next year’s World Cup with a 1-0 win over Paraguay this month.
